Integrated development environment IDE (), method and computer system for developing user interface documents. An editor () is used for editing a user interface document. An adaptation engine () generates device class specific representations of the user interface document. Each device class specific representation refers to a respective device class. Device class dependent tools () of the IDE () are used for generating device class specific information and providing it to the author. Device class specific information can be information about the complexity of the user interface by device class provided by a complexity indicator (), information about how many pages are generated for which device class provided by a device class dependent view () or information about the layout for various device classes provided by a frames layouting view ().

Method and computer system for document authoring

A method and system to control an interaction of a plurality of participants in a workflow process. The method classifies the plurality of activities as (1) first activity of the workflow process, (2) first activity of a participant in an on-going workflow process, and (3) interaction activity. A set of access control policies is generated for each type of activity. The policies include workflow initialization policy, participation policy and interaction policies. The policies determine if a requesting participant is permitted to interact with a responding participant. In addition, the system includes a policy enforcement point for receiving a request from a requesting participant, wherein the request is for activating an activity of a responding participant. The policy enforcement point forwards the request to a policy decision point where the request is evaluated based on the set of access control policies.

Automated generation of access control policies in cross-organizational workflow

An access control system provides access control to at least one information resource associated with at least one application within a computer network. The system comprises a plurality of context sources being relevant for the at least one application and providing context information, a constraint specification console providing an interface to specify application specific constraints based on the context sources, a rule engine capable of handling facts and applying inference rules on those facts, an application specific constraint enforcement point configured for receiving access requests, hence querying facts and further being responsible for making access decisions regarding the information resource based on those facts and on application specific constraints and a rule engine adaptor acting as intermediary in communication of the rule engine with the context sources, the constraint specification console and the enforcement point, respectively, so as to allow access control to the at least one information resource based on specified application specific constraints with regard to context information originating from the context sources.
