Embodiments described herein include DRX operations that address impacts of beamforming to current DRX operations. It is recognized herein that the new NR-PDCCH may affect the downlink control channel monitoring in DRX operations. DRX embodiments described herein also address the impact of new NR-PDCCH to DRX operations. It is further recognized herein that, in NR, multiple DRX configurations may be supported, and L1/2 signaling (such as MAC CE based) can be used for dynamic DRX configuration switching. Embodiments described herein include signaling and other mechanisms that support multiple DRX configurations, and switching between multiple configurations. Embodiments described herein also include DRX operations that address the impact of HARQ design in NR to DRX operations. Embodiments described herein further include DRX operations that address the impact of multiple SR configurations in NR to DRX operation.

Enhanced connected mode DRX procedures for NR

Sidelink adaptation protocol for remote UE connectivity

Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for Uplink operation in LTE unlicensed spectrum (LTE-U). A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive licensed assisted access (LAA) configuration information, e.g., for a first cell from a second cell. The first cell may be associated with operation in an unlicensed band, and the second cell may be associated with operation in a licensed band. The WTRU may determine whether a first subframe is a sounding reference signal (SRS) subframe for the first cell. If the first subframe is an SRS subframe for the first cell, the WTRU may determine SRS resources for the first subframe and determine whether the WTRU is triggered to transmit an SRS transmission in the first subframe. If it is determined the WTRU is triggered to transmit the SRS transmission in the first subframe, the WTRU may transmit the SRS transmission on the SRS resources for the first subframe.

A user equipment (UE) in a wireless network may receive Downlink Control Information (DCI) that schedules Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) for non-codebook-based and/or codebook-based PUSCH operation. The UE may be configured with a Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) resource set for each codebook-based operation and non-code-book-based operation. The UE may transmit using a codebook base operation in a first set of PUSCH occasions and transmit using a non-code-book-based operation in a second set of PUSCH occasions. The DCI may include multiple SRS Resource Indicator (SRI) fields pertaining to different sets of PUSCH occasions. Similarly, DCI may include information pertaining to a number of layers for precoding for a set of PUSCH occasions.

Beam management for physical uplink shared channels in dense deployments

Methods, systems, and devices may assist in channelization and LBT for NR unlicensed band. This may apply to NR-U from 52.6 GHz to 71 GHz and above. Channelization and LBT for NR unlicensed band from 52.6 GHz and above

Methods, apparatus, and systems are described for improved edge network access for a UE. According to some aspects, a UE may receive a first Data Network Name (DNN) from an application and determine, based on a Data Network Name (DNN) Replacement Rule, the first DNN is associated with a second Data Network Name (DNN), where the first DNN and the second DNN are different. The UE may determine, based on the DNN Replacement Rule, to associate traffic from the application with a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) Session, where the PDU Session may be used to send data from the application to a network and the PDU Session is associated with the second DNN.

Enhancements for edge network access for a UE

LBT adaptation, beam operation, and/or interference handling may be performed by wireless communication devices in NR above 52.6 GHZ. In an example, a wireless communications device may send information on a channel. The channel may comprise a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH), a Physical Downlink Shared Data Channel (PDSCH), or a Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH). The wireless communications device may receive, from a user equipment (UE), one or more ready to receives (RTRs). The wireless communications device may determine, based on a number of consecutive RTRs of the one or more RTRs, a listen before talk (LBT) mode. The LBT mode may be associated with staying or switching to a no receiver assistance mode or staying or switching to a receiver assistance mode.

A method performed by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may include sending, to a network, a registration message indicating the WTRU is capable of device-to-device (D2D) communication and sending a request for assistance in discovering at least one other WTRU in proximity to the WTRU. The method may include receiving, from the network, in response to the request for assistance in discovering the at least one other WTRU, assistance information including one or more of a unique identifier or filtering information. A user equipment (UE) operating in an 'Onboarding Mode' may search for a network broadcasting Onboarding Capability Information (OCT), then register using onboarding credentials and receive SNPN credentials from the network. The UE may then exit onboarding mode, enter Manual Network Selection or Automatic Network Selection mode, and connect to the SNPN. A UE may also receive from a network a list of PLMNs and SNPNs that are equivalent then, when registering, indicate to the network that a requested slice is not associated with the IJE's HPLMN, but is associated with an SNPN. The network may indicate to the UE how the slices of the network map to the slices of the SNPN, and may indicate whether a slice that is offered by the network only partially maps to a slice of the SNPN or HPLMN.
