A method for forwarding a connection at an interconnecting device is described. The method includes receiving from an originating device an incoming connection at an incoming port, determining by at least one hardware processor whether port translation is implemented for the incoming port, in case port translation is implemented for the incoming port, returning to the originating device by the at least one hardware processor a challenge intended to distinguish humans from computers, verifying by the at least one hardware processor that a response received in response to the challenge is a correct response to the challenge, and, in case the response is a correct response to the challenge, forwarding, by the at least one hardware processor, the connection to a translated port corresponding to the incoming port according to the port translation.

Device and method for forwarding connections

A method for detecting interferences in wireless networks is disclosed. A salient idea is to use a first access point for detecting an interference disturbing a wireless device associated with a second access point, wherein the device at the origin of the interference is in the range of the first access point, but not in the range of the second access point. Leveraging on the difference of coverage between different wireless networking technologies, the first access point is capable of detecting both a data traffic of a second access point and a short-range interfering device in a same frequency channel.

A processing device equips a controller that is intended for providing data transmission schedules into multi-slot frames, based on a conflict graph representative of wireless links between nodes that interfere when transmitting simultaneously on a same radio channel, for nodes linked therebetween and belonging to a multi-hop wireless network using a MAC protocol supporting a slotted access. This processing device comprises a processing means arranged, during each frame, for updating the conflict graph from interference information provided by the nodes during this frame, and for refining this conflict graph from detection of hidden interferer nodes based on detected failures of data transmissions of the links between these nodes during at least the previous frame.

Method and processing device for optimal interference estimation and scheduling in a multi-hop wireless network with centralized control

The purpose of this invention is a method to provide a specific physical rate adapted to 802.11 WMM in EDCA mode which may be integrated as well in an Access Point as in a Station. The objective of this method is to select the 802.11 phyrate (physical rate) the most adapted for each WMM AC (Access category) of traffic requirements: For each AC it guaranties an IPLR (IP packet Lost ratio) specific physical rate and adapted to nature of the transported content. For BK (Background) and BE (Best Effort) it optimizes the used CUE (Channel Usage Estimation) in order to provide maximum bandwidth, For VI (Video) and VO (Voice) AC to guaranty first the delay bound (i.e. max IP Delay transmission (IPDT)) and when this condition is met it optimizes the used CUE.
