A flexible polymeric pipe for transportation of oil, gas or water, having an unbonded reinforcing intermediate layer between two polymeric layers. The pipe has a vent for the intermediate layer which allows venting of gas from the intermediate layer through to the exterior environment. The vent is generally impervious to water but pervious to air and gas.

A method for forming a connection between two tubular sections having a polymeric outer surface jacket, using electrofusion to fusion bond a casing of similar, non-crosslinked polymer to the outer surface of the tubular sections.

Apparatus and system for electro-fusion of polyethylene pipeline

An automated heat shrink device, useful for forming a connection between two tubular sections having a polymeric outer surface jacket, for example, a connection between two sections of a district heating pipeline, and a method of use thereof. Foam filling a cavity in a joint between insulated pipe lengths by wrapping a fiber reinforced plastic mold sheet around the cavity or applying a casing around the cavity, with a securing element supplied on the mold sheet to resist separating movements of the ends of the mold sheet or one or more flexible tensile members wrapped around the casing, to resist ballooning of the casing on expansion of a foam filling introduced into the mold or into the casing.

Method of filling a casing

A casing member for forming a connection between two tubular sections, said casing member having a first, cross-linked, heat shrinkable plastic layer, and a second, inner, non-crosslinked (or less cross-linked) layer. The casing member also has an electrically heatable member spaced inwardly from the first layer, for fusion bonding the second layer to the tubular sections.
