The invention relates to a medical device for preservation of corneal tissue () that has been obtained beforehand by sampling, the device comprising a base (), at least one side wall (), and means for receiving and blocking the corneal tissue (), characterized in that the device additionally comprises an applanation lid () for covering an opening of the device opposite the transparent base (), the applanation lid () comprising: a transparent window (), and a support () between the window () and the side wall (), the support () comprising means for moving the window () in translation with respect to the side wall () of the device.
