A vehicle tailgate is made of a plastic material and includes: an inner panel, an outer panel and a first glue bead applied between the inner panel and the outer panel, such that the inner panel and the outer panel are assembled via the glue bead and an inner space is disposed between the inner panel and the outer panel. The outer panel includes: a skin with an appearance surface; a housing configured to receive an optical unit, delimited by a peripheral wall joined to the skin; and a cavity delimited by the skin, at least a portion of the peripheral wall of the housing, and walls projecting from the housing towards an inner face of the skin. At least one of the walls projecting from the housing towards the inner face of the skin does not touch the inner face of the skin, such that there is a gap between the at least one wall and the inner face of the skin. The gap is sealed by a second glue bead.

A motor vehicle tail gate panel has one side facing the inside of the motor vehicle and one side facing the outside of the motor vehicle and including a box having an adhesion area on the side facing the outside of the motor vehicle for adhering a glass to the surface of the box. The box extends beyond the adhesion area on the side opposite this area so as to form at least one section that is visible from the outside of the motor vehicle, and the section has a shape that enhances the aerodynamics of the motor vehicle. As a result, additional spoilers may not be needed, which improves productivity and reduces production costs. Example embodiments also relate to a motor vehicle that includes the tail gate panel.

A tailgate that is intended to be mounted onto motor vehicle body such as to be pivotable between an open position and a closed position, and is intended to be connected to the body by means that generate an axial thrust for assisting in the opening of the tailgate. The tailgate includes an abutment, referred to as an anti-deformation abutment, for engaging, when the tailgate is in the closed position, with a complementary bearing of the body such that the complementary bearing exerts a reactive force against the anti-deformation abutment, having a direction parallel to a direction of thrust of the assistance means, or angled at most 45&#xb0; relative to the thrust direction, and having at least one component in the direction opposite the direction of thrust of the assistance means.
