A system for unlocking a key cylinderless automobile vehicle door includes a portable object having an identifier and a circuit for interrogating the object. The circuit powers the object and interrogates the object when it is outside the vehicle. The interrogating circuit supplies a signal authorizing unlocking of the door as a function of the identifier. A standby power supply, which is separate from the main power supply of the vehicle, also powers the circuit and the object. As a result, the vehicle door does not require a key cylinder while still ensuring unlocking even if the main power supply of the vehicle fails.

An assembly including a door panel, a window regulator housing component, and a window regulator drive system component. The door panel is secured to the window regulator housing component by a deformed portion to provide a subassembly. The deformed portion is utilized to releaseably secure the window regulator drive system component to the subassembly via a fourth component.

Assembly

A vehicle door is assembled by immobilizing a cable drum with a wedge and then coupling the wedged drum to a drive member. A cable is wound onto the drum either before or after the positioning of the wedge. The A drive member is then coupled to the wedged drum. After coupling, the drive member is fixed to the vehicle door. The window guide structure can also be inserted between the inner panel and an outer panel of the vehicle door. The wedge can be removed from the window guide structure, or alternately, the wedge can be fixed to the window guide structure. Alternately, the method further includes the steps of placing the cable in deflection pulleys before the steps of positioning the wedge and winding the cable. The drive member is pivotally mounted to the inner panel about an axis offset relative to the rotational axis of the drum, and the cable is tensioned by pivoting the drive member about the offset axis. The drive member is then fixed to the inner panel of the vehicle door. Essentially, a pre-assembled intermediate window drive is created that facilitates mounting to the vehicle door.

A mounting plate for an anti-intrusion reinforcement member includes securing features that secure the plate to a vehicle door. The mounting plate also includes a plurality of mounting interfaces for the reinforcement member. The plate can be fitted to different mounting points in the door and to different reinforcement members, simplifying the production of the mounting plate. An assembly includes a first, second and third components having respective first, second and third holes. The assembly further includes a locating feature assembled into the holes having a small portion and a large portion that provide a shoulder therebetween. The locating feature further includes a fixing portion near the small portion to secure the second component relative to the assembly and a fixing portion near the large portion to secure the third component relative to the assembly. The small portion is located in the second hole to align the locating feature relative to the second component, and the large portion is located in the third hole to align the locating feature relative to the third component. The second component is aligned relative to the third component, and the first component is situated between the second and third components and between the shoulder and the second component.

An anti-side intrusion assembly for a vehicle door includes a reinforcing beam. Anchoring members secured to the reinforcing beam anchor the reinforcing beam to the vehicle frame or chassis. The reinforcing beam extends across the vehicle door and is anchored to the chassis at each end. One of the anchoring members a door hinge, and the other of the anchoring member is a lug generally perpendicular to the reinforcing beam. When the door is closed, the lug extends into a recess provided in a rigid portion of the door frame or chassis. Substantial bending of the reinforcing beam upon side impact on the door is prevented by bearing the lug on the rigid sidewall of the recess.

A housing structure for a mobile element, such as a regulator drum, includes a dish that covers the housing and a backing plate with an opening large enough to accommodate the mobile element and one or more pliable tongues extending into the opening. The tongues hold the mobile element in the housing while still allowing the element to be removed without dismantling the housing or the element.

The invention relates to a method of assembling an opening leaf with a vehicle chassis, comprising the steps of measuring geometric references on the contour of an opening in a vehicle chassis, supplying an opening leaf corresponding to the opening in the chassis, adjusting at least one hinge secured to the chassis and to the opening leaf, according to references measured on the opening, assembling the opening leaf with the chassis using the adjusted hinge. The invention allows a door to be assembled with a vehicle precisely and in a minimum number of steps.
