An ocular vision system with a display module, which includes a transparent optical guide, is adapted for propagating, by total internal reflections, a light beam transporting an image as far as an extraction section of the optical guide. The system may include: means for positioning the optical guide in a first position in which the extraction zone is placed along a first axis corresponding to a nominal axis of sight of the user's eye; means for positioning the optical guide in a second position in which the extraction zone is placed along a second axis offset with respect to the nominal axis of sight of the user's eye; and means for rotating the optical guide about an axis intended to pass substantially through the center of rotation of the user's eye, enabling the optical guide to pass from the first position to the second position and vice versa.

An optical device includes an optical guide adapted for propagating a light beam by successive total internal reflections and an injection device adapted for injecting the light beam into the optical guide via an injection section. A polarizing material is present between the optical guide and the injection device at the injection section. The injection device includes a prism and an assembly formed by a quarter-wave plate and curved mirror, the injection device being arranged so that a light beam reflected by the polarizing material in the direction of the curved mirror passes through the quarter-wave plate and is then reflected by the curved mirror in the direction of the polarizing material and passes through the quarter-wave plate again.

Optical device and method for manufacturing such a device

An optical guide comprises at least one guiding element adapted for enabling, by total internal reflections, transporting an image taking the form of a collimated light beam from an injection zone to an extraction zone where an extracting device for extracting the image is mounted. The optical guide comprises a retardation plate and a polarization beam splitter, the polarization beam splitter being placed between the guiding element and the extracting device. The optical guide is such that each ray of said collimated light beam striking the polarization beam splitter for the first time separates into two portions, a first portion being transmitted to the extracting device so as to define a first light imprint and a second portion being reflected by the polarization beam splitter, said second portion continuing to be guided by the guiding element and thus passing twice through the retardation plate before striking the polarization beam splitter so as to define a second light imprint.

An optical guide comprises an injection zone intended to inject into the optical guide a light signal and an extraction zone intended to provide the light signal after transport by the optical guide. The optical guide comprises, in a superposed manner, at least two guidance elements. In a zone situated between the injection zone and the extraction zone, the guidance elements are partially separated from one another by a semi-reflective coating of length, in the direction or propagation of the light signal in the optical guide, dependent on a minimum angle of incidence of the light signal and on the thickness of at least one of the guidance elements that the semi-reflective coating separates.

An optical guidance device for optical guidance of a light beam has a first part, in a transparent material, adapted for propagating the light beam by successive reflections. This first part comprises an extraction section comprising at least one microstructure comprising a plane surface adapted to enable the rays of the light beam striking the plane surface to emerge from the guidance device. The device also comprises a second part, in a material substantially identical to that of the first part, comprising a section comprising at least one microstructure with a shape complementary to that or those of the extraction section. The device also has a layer of adhesive assembling the first and second parts in such a way that any microstructure of the extraction section is separated from its complementary microstructure by a transparent medium of substantially constant thickness.

The invention proposes a short-distance front projection system, that is to say with a wide angle, occupying a small volume and offering a possibility of focusing as well a zoom function. It makes it possible to obtain images with a diagonal greater than 2 meters, the whole of the optical system being at least 50 cm from the plane of the image. An illuminating device is described comprising an optical source emitting an unpolarized light beam, a polarizing beam splitter comprising a grid polarizer situated between the faces of two prisms. The light beam penetrates into the first prism through a face and reaches the polarizing beam splitter that transmits the light having a first polarization direction to the face that reflects it toward an exit face. In addition, the splitter reflects the light having a second polarization direction to the face that reflects it toward an exit face.

A Fresnel lens comprises at least one first prism and one second prism. The invention relates to an illumination system for combining two light beams. A prism bounded by two entrance faces that form a dihedron. An integrator is coupled to an exit face () of the prism. Each beam penetrates the prism via one of the entrance faces and is reflected by internal reflection on the other entrance face toward the exit face. These beams are substantially focused onto the entrance face of the integrator in such a way that the latter delivers an almost uniform exit beam. Applications: Projection and backprojection apparatus.

The invention relates to a projection objective comprising at least one lens and intended to transmit a divergent light beam onto a flat screen. The invention relates to a Fresnel lens. Each refractive structure of the lens is bounded by two surfaces, the second surface making a second angle with the normal to the plane of incidence. Each first surface refracts the light along a direction parallel or not parallel to the axis of the lens depending on the zone.
