Currently, the MIMO MAC-CEs have been designed to support only one component carrier. Aspects described herein provide MAC-CEs and RRC signaling, which may facilitate efficient spatial and beam change indications for multiple component carriers. A UE may be configured to receive a configuration for each of a plurality of carriers. The UE may be configured to receive control information in a MAC-CE. The control information may comprise at least one of a TCI state, an CSI-RS resource configuration, or an SRS resource configuration. The UE may be further configured to determine whether the control information applies to multiple carriers from among the plurality of carriers. The UE may be configured to apply the control information to at least one of the plurality of carriers based on a determination of whether the control information applies to multiple carriers from among the plurality of carriers.

Enhanced MAC-CE and RRC IE for multi-carrier configurations

A MSIM UE may perform network operations for each network subscription. However, if the MSIM UE employs subscriptions for the same network, these operations may be performed redundantly. By notifying the network of multiple subscriptions at the UE and associating the multiple subscriptions at the network, the present invention provides power-saving at the UE and reduces network signaling overhead by optimizing communication for MSIM UE. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be configured to indicate to a network that the UE is associated with a plurality of network subscriptions, the plurality of network subscriptions including at least a first network subscription and a second network subscription, transmit location information using the first network subscription to the network, wherein the location information corresponds to a UE location, and receive data associated with the second subscription from the network.

Location update optimizations for intra-PLMN multi-SIM UEs

A MSIM UE may perform various network operations for each network subscription. However, if the MSIM UE employs subscriptions for different network operators, the UE may need to periodically tune away for an active data transmission. Such tune-away may cause the UE to miss scheduled communications from the network. Aspects of the present invention are directed to a mechanism by which a UE can notify a base station of the MSIM state, and thereby allow the network to improve scheduling for the UE to allow for periodic tune-away by the UE with minimal impact on scheduled communications. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may by a UE, such as MSIM UE. The apparatus may be configured to determine that the UE is associated with one or more network subscriptions, and transmit a subscription indication to a network device, wherein the subscription indication identifies a subscription state of the UE to the network.

A user equipment (UE) may establish radio resource control (RRC) connectivity with a base station of the network, and transmit and receive one or more distinct signaling messages for dormancy state initialization and suspension at the UE. Dormancy state implementation at the UE may conserve available power resources at the UE during periods of inactive data transaction. The one or more signaling messages may contain a single or multi-bit indication for the receiving device, and may be transmitted via direct signaling on upper layer protocols of the data network or mapped to allocated resources of a data transmission. The signaling messages may sustain synchronization between the interpreted functional mode of the UE at the base station and the implemented mode at the UE.

The voice call may be attempted to be re-established if a connection is available on using a RAT of an existing connection. The voice call in such cases may continue without the call being dropped. Techniques are provided to initiate signal transmissions for possible opportunistic reception by a mobile device, and/or to initiate opportunistic reception of signal transmissions for use in mobile device position location estimation. For example, a mobile device may use assistance data to identify a first signal to be transmitted over a first frequency band and a second signal to be transmitted over a second frequency band during a specific period of time. At least a portion of the second frequency band may be outside of the first frequency band. The mobile device subsequently attempts to opportunistically receive at least the first signal and the second signal via a receiver tuned to a reception frequency band that encompasses at least the first frequency band and the second frequency band. The mobile device may then process the opportunistically received signals to obtain measurements corresponding to at least the first and second signals.
