A system includes an electric actuator having an actuation stem, a screw assembly, an electric drive, and a lock. The screw assembly is coupled to the actuation stem, wherein the screw assembly includes a male screw portion coupled to a female screw portion. The electric drive is coupled to the screw assembly, wherein the electric drive is configured to move the screw assembly to move the actuation stem. The lock is configured to hold a position of the actuation stem when not driving movement of the actuation stem.

Electrical actuator

An electrical power system for a resource extraction system includes a thermoelectric generator assembly configured to couple to a wall of a fluid containment structure. A portion of the thermoelectric generator assembly is configured to be disposed within an opening in the wall that extends through the wall to a cavity within the fluid containment structure. In addition, the thermoelectric generator assembly includes a thermoelectric generator configured to be in thermal communication with a fluid within the opening and with an environment external to the fluid containment structure. The thermoelectric generator is configured to generate electrical power in response to a temperature differential between the fluid within the opening and the environment.

Electrical power system for a resource extraction system

A technique facilitates landing of a subsea component, e.g. a tubing hanger, by utilizing a poppet valve to provide an indication of proper landing. The poppet valve is combined with the tubing hanger or other subsea component and oriented to engage a corresponding landing surface. A pressure line is routed to the poppet valve, and the poppet valve is biased to an open flow position with respect to the pressure line during deployment. If the subsea component is properly landed, the corresponding landing surface is able to shift the poppet valve to a closed position. The closed position may be verified via pressure testing through the pressure line.

A gate valve assembly for use with a tubing hanger with a vertical bore, the gate valve including a housing located externally to the tubing hanger and a gate at least partially locatable in the housing and configured to extend through the tubing hanger and into the tubing hanger vertical bore. The gate valve assembly also includes a seat assembly having a seat and located within the tubing hanger, the seat assembly configured to seal against the gate when the gate is extended into the tubing hanger vertical bore.

A system may include a seal including first and second lip portions and an inner portion disposed between the first and second lip portions. The first and second lip portions may be formed from a different material than the inner portion. Additionally, the first and second lip portions may be configured to block the flow of fluid to the inner portion. Further, the first and second lip portions may be configured to block extrusion of the inner portion.

A cap system for subsea equipment that can be employed on various subsea equipment including but not limited to a vertical monobore tree, a horizontal tree, a wellhead and a tubing head spool. The cap system includes a cap assembly that has the flexibility of installation and retrieval for open water as well as a through a riser with a running tool. The cap assembly also does not require any orientation during installation. The cap system includes a debris cap assembly installable in engagement with the cap assembly. The debris cap assembly interfacing with the cap assembly provides the ability to inject and bleed fluids through a main bore and an annulus bore of the subsea tree independently and without removal of the debris cap assembly and cap assembly.
