A wireless device configured to acquire network support information associated with a neighbor cell, wherein the network support information indicates that the neighbor cell supports a Stand-Alone (SA) mode of operation and/or a Non-Stand-Alone (NSA) mode of operation; and transmit to a serving network node a report comprising identification information associated with the neighbour cell and the network support information indicating that the neighbor cell supports a SA mode of operation and/or a NSA mode of operation. A serving network node configured to receive a report transmitted by a wireless device, wherein the report comprises identification information associated with the neighbor cell and network support information indicating that the neighbor cell supports a Stand-Alone (SA) mode of operation and/or a Non-Stand-Alone (NSA) mode of operation; and determine, based on the report, a type of interface to establish between the serving network node and the neighbor network node.

A wireless device () is configured to receive, from a network node (), in a measurement reporting configuration information element () of a measurement configuration or a measurement identity information element () of a measurement configuration, an indication () of for which cell the wireless device () () is to report a cell global identifier, CGI. In embodiments in which the indication () is received in the measurement reporting configuration information element (), for instance, the wireless device () may add a reporting configuration indicated by that information element to a list of reporting configurations at the wireless device (), e.g., as opposed to updating an existing reporting configuration. Regardless, the wireless device () may also be configured to report a CGI for the cell indicated by the received indication ().

Cell global identifier reporting in a wireless communication system

A user equipment ('UE') can receive a request for UE mobility history information from a network node. The UE can generate a UE mobility history report. The UE mobility history report can include at least one of transitions between an inactive state and a connected state for each cell included in the UE mobility history report or a carrier frequency of each cell included in the UE mobility history report. The UE can transmit the UE mobility history report to the network node.

Enhancements in mobility history information

A system () of a wireless communication network () comprising a first network node () arranged for wireless communication with a wireless communication device (). According to an aspect, a wireless device () receives, from a network node (), a measurement object () that includes a list () of one or more cells for which to report a cell global identifier, CGI, or a list () of one or more cells for which not to report the CGI. Alternatively, the wireless device () may receive, from a network node (), a measurement reporting configuration information element or a measurement identity information element of a measurement configuration that includes a list () of one or more cells for which to report a CGI or a list () of one or more cells for which not to report a CGI.

The embodiments herein relate to a method, performed by a network node (), for configuring mobility measurements to be performed by a User Equipment, UE, (). The network node () sends a configuration message to the UE (). The configuration message comprises a plurality of measurement offsets associated to a single measurement object. The measurement offsets indicate offset values for triggering a measurement report. Each of the plurality of measurement report triggering offsets being related to a respective measurement. The embodiments herein further relate to a method, performed by the UE (), for performing mobility measurements. The UE () receives a plurality of measurement offsets associated to a single measurement object, wherein the measurement offsets indicates offset values for triggering a measurement report, and wherein each of the plurality of measurement offsets is related to a respective measurement. The UE () further performs a mobility measurement process taking the measurement offset into account for triggering a measurement report transmission.

Method and apparatus for handling mobility measurements for a user equipment

The present invention relates to a source node, a target node and methods for supporting re-distribution of load from a source cell to a target cell in a wireless network, wherein the target cell is a combined cell comprising a plurality of spatially separated sectors that are configured for downlink and/or uplink communication on a same carrier frequency. Performed in the source node, the method comprises receiving, from the target node, a load report comprising traffic load in one or more of the plurality of spatially separated target sectors comprised in the target cell. Reference signal measurements defining radio conditions for one or more of the target sectors comprised in the target cell are retrieved from one or more wireless devices served by the source node.

A method in a radio network node for determining whether a wireless device is a suitable candidate for handover to a target cell for load balancing reasons. The radio network node serves a source cell. The method includes determining a first level of coverage of the target cell based on a first measurement report. The method further includes storing measurement data obtained from a second measurement, being at least one of a layer 2 and a layer 1 measurement. The method further includes establishing a correlation between the determined first level of coverage and the stored measurement data and updating statistical data based on the established correlation. The method further includes determining whether the wireless device is a suitable candidate for handover to the target cell for load balancing reasons, based on the updated statistical data.

The present disclosure concerns movements, such as handovers, of user equipments (UEs)-from one radio cellto another radio cell. Disclosed herein are methods as well radio network nodes. A radio network nodemay, for example, select the most suitable UE(s)-to move from a source radio cellto a target radio cellin case the traffic load in the source radio cellis below or equal to the traffic load of the target radio cell. Hereby it is made possible to improve the resource utilization.

Method and a network node for improved resource utilization in a load balanced radio communication system

There is provided a method in a radio base station for handling cell reselection for a user equipment, UE, in a wireless communications network. The UE is associated with a first cell of the radio base station, which first cell has a first frequency. The wireless communications network comprises a second cell having a second frequency, which second cell has at least partly overlapping coverage with the first cell, and a third cell having the second frequency, which third cell has at least partly overlapping coverage with the first cell. The radio base station transmits cell reselection priority values to the UE, wherein the cell reselection priority values comprise a first priority value for the second cell, and a second priority value for the third cell.
