System and method to provide contextual services, the method including: capturing a characteristic of a first person inside or within a predetermined distance of a monitored space; accessing a database of identifying characteristics of potential visitors to the monitored space; identifying the first person by use of the database, to produce an identified visitor; and providing to a second person an information related to the identified visitor. The system may include: a database of identifying characteristics of potential visitors to a monitored space; a surveillance device configured to capture a characteristic of a first person inside or within a predetermined distance of the monitored space; a processor configured to identify the first person by use of the database, to produce an identified visitor; and a communication interface configured to provide to a second person an information related to the identified visitor.

A device, system, and method gives temporary control of a user device using location based grants. The method performed by a control server of a third party is performed when the user device is in a predetermined area. The method includes transmitting authentication data to the user device, the authentication data configured to authenticate the third party to the user device, the predetermined area being associated with the third party. The method includes receiving a request from the user device for command data, the command data configured to be executed on the user device to provide the third party with a limited control over the user device while the user device remains in the predetermined area. The method includes transmitting the command data to the user device.

The present application is at least directed to a beacon device including a non-transitory memory with instructions stored thereon for communicating with an endpoint device in an environment. The apparatus also includes a processor, operably coupled to the non-transitory memory, configured to execute the instructions of determining, via global positioning system (GPS), coordinates of the beacon device in the environment. The processor is also configured to execute the instructions of storing the coordinates in the non-transitory memory. The processor is further configured to execute the instructions of disabling the GPS. The processor is even further configured to execute the instructions of broadcasting, to the endpoint device, information including a beacon ID and the stored coordinates via an encrypted message.

Methods and apparatuses for beacon assisted low power localization

Techniques for aiding an email recipient in the management of inbound email by detecting, and configurably responding to, dynamically variable patterns of activity and behavior are described. Characteristics are extracted from new email messages originated by senders and intended for a recipient. One or more patterns of sender activity, recipient message management behavior, and/or message response behavior, relating to treatment of messages from individual senders and/or plural senders in the aggregate, are identified. The patterns are identified by analyzing statistics collected by the extraction of characteristics from email messages previously received by the recipient. Before the recipient reads a new email, a determination is made as to whether any deviation from an identified pattern exists; and, if so, a pre-existing rule for treatment of the new message is enforced and/or a new rule specifying treatment of at least some messages from the sender of the email is proposed.

Requests are received at a server, from a requester endpoint device, to initiate an interactive, real time communication voice and/or video session requiring access to an interactive session resource. In an embodiment, the communication system is a contact center and the interactive session resource is an available contact center agent. Pending availability of the interactive session resource, a requester is assigned a place in a queue or otherwise scheduled to receive access to the interactive session resource. In the meantime, a data channel is established between the server and the requester's endpoint device. Resources, which can include an executable program and/or information operative to enable the endpoint device to emulate an active on-hold voice connection period, are downloaded to the endpoint device.

Based on information associated with the emergency event, the PSAP can determine which emergency vehicle can respond to the event. The route information may then be communicated to a map server, one or more vehicles that may be affected by the route of the emergency vehicle, and/or other systems, devices, and/or computer systems. For example, the first concurrent communication session may be a voice communication session with a user and the second concurrent communication session may be multimedia communication session with the user. A task is identified that needs to be accomplished in the communication session (e.g., in one of first or second concurrent communication sessions). A determination is made if the first communication medium is an optimal communication medium for the task. In response to determining that the first communication medium is the optimal communication medium for the task, the first task is implemented in the first concurrent communication session.

Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for a communication session identifier. A communication session identifier can act as a virtual relay between conference participants, forwarding emails, phone calls, attachments, messages, and other information from a central address associated with the communications session identifier. In this manner, a user who desires to communicate with other conference participants only needs to send the communication to the communication session identifier, which in turn distributes the communication to the other parties. These communications can include emails, social networking messages, instant messaging, voice messages, and other forms of communication.

A video conference is established between a first video device and a second video device. The first video device captures a first participant's images in the video conference. The first participant's image is also captured as part of the video conference via the second video device (i.e., there are duplicate images of the first participant's image being captured). The first participant's image is detected as being captured by the first video device and the second video device in the video conference. For example, the duplicate images can be determined based on facial recognition. In response to detecting that the first participant's image is being captured by the first video device and the second video device in the video conference, the process automatically forbears from displaying at least one of the first participant's image captured by the first and second video devices.
