Methods and systems monitor and assess brain bioimpedance through the use of an ocular window that assesses dynamic changes in cerebral blood volume (CBV). That ocular window is implemented through an ocular bioimpedance device that, in a non-invasive manner, measures numerous different brain health indicators using the bioimpedance measurements collected through the regions around the eyes. The ocular bioimpedance device may be goggles with localized measurement electrodes that include cathodes and anodes.

Ocular impedance-based system for brain health monitoring

A neural targeting system and method for deep brain stimulation procedures, or other types of brain surgeries requiring targeting, provides high spatial resolution and real-time targeting analysis to identify structural boundaries resulting in increased spatial accuracy. The system and method uses quantitative electrophysiology to update static brain images with an actual microelectrode location and trajectory in the brain to ensure correct placement of a later implanted stimulation probe.

Advanced intraoperative neural targeting system and method

A system and method for conducting closed loop deep brain stimulation on an individual, and more specifically, for receiving local field potential neural signals, encoding and filtering the signals into the logarithmic domain, processing the signals, and determining optimal stimulation parameters for deep brain stimulation based on the processed neural signals. The system and method may also include an RF-DC converter such that the system may be powered in whole or in part based on radio frequency signals. The system and method may also include an RF transceiver such that the system may transmit data wirelessly to an external receiver, or may receive stimulation parameters wirelessly from an external transceiver.
