A battery adapter assembly () is disclosed for an electrically driven hand-held power tool (). The battery adapter assembly () comprises a battery adapter () configured to be connected to a battery connection interface () of the power tool (), and a power cord () comprising a first end () connected to the battery adapter () and a second end () for connection to a power supply (). The power cord () comprises at least a first fixation element () configured to fixate the power cord () to a cord holding arrangement () of the power tool (). The present disclosure further relates to a hand-held power tool ().

Battery adapter assembly and hand-held power tool

A handheld power tool () comprising at least one orientation sensor () is provided. The handheld power tool () is operatively connected to a controller () and said controller () is configured to receive orientation data from the at least one orientation sensor (), wherein the orientation data comprises information associated with an orientation of at least a portion of the handheld power tool () and to determine operational data based on the orientation data, said operational data representing work performed using the handheld power tool (). The operational data is determined by determining the orientation of the power tool based on the received orientation data from the at least one orientation sensor ().

Handheld power tool

The present disclosure relates to a method in a battery charging system (), as well as such a system and arrangements used therein. The charging system () comprises at least a first () and a second () chargeable battery and a battery charger (). At beginning of the charging of the first battery, timing data is collected () related to the charging of the first chargeable battery. The timing data is transmitted () the via a wireless interface to a remote circuit. The remote unit may set () a timing circuit based on the timing data, and communicates () an indication of remaining charging time to a user based on the timing circuit. This means that the user can be informed of the status of the first battery, even if remote therefrom.

Battery charging system and method

A fuel supply system for small two-stroke internal combustion engines for e.g. chain saws, line trimmers and similar hand-held power-tools including a diaphragm carburetor () equipped with a purging system () or priming system () for facilitating starting of the engine (). Downstream of the diaphragm (), the carburetor has a fuel valve () with a fuel cavity (), which when the valve is not closed being connected via a fuel conduit () to a fuel nozzle () in a main air passage () in the carburetor. The purging system or priming system including a fuel line (), which is provided with a manually operated pump () and is connected between a fuel tank () and either the fuel cavity () or the fuel conduit ().

A handheld power tool comprises a cruise control actuator (), which is mechanically connected to a controller input actuator () so as to variably move the controller input actuator () in a trigger direction (T) based on the position of the cruise control actuator (). The cruise control actuator () is movable between a plurality of different, stable cruise speed positions, in which the cruise control actuator () is connected to said controller input actuator () in a unidirectional manner to allow a trigger () to move the controller input actuator () even further in the trigger direction (T) without moving the cruise control actuator (). The cruise control actuator () is also movable to an 'OFF' position in which it mechanically blocks the trigger () from moving the controller input actuator () in the trigger direction (T). Cruise control of portable garden or forestry tool

A hand-held power tool () may include an electric power source (), an electric motor () selectively coupled to the electric power source (), a working assembly () operably coupled to the electric motor () to perform a working function responsive to actuation of the electric motor (), and a control assembly () operably coupled to the electric motor () to provide selective control over actuation of the electric motor (). The control assembly () may be configured to provide the selective control based on performance of at least two dissimilar operator actions. The control assembly () may include a sensing member () and a throttle control member (). The sensing member () may be configured to be operable to an actuated state responsive to an enabling action comprising a first of the two dissimilar operator actions. The throttle control member () may be configured to be repeatedly operable responsive to actuation of the throttle control member () while the sensing member () is in the actuated state. Actuation of the throttle control member () may include a second of the two dissimilar operator actions.

A blower may () include a power unit and fan assembly powered by the power unit, a stepless trigger (), control circuitry configured to at least partially control application of power to drive the fan assembly based on a position of the stepless trigger (), and one or more buttons. The fan assembly may rotate at a speed proportional to the position of the stepless trigger () in a first mode of operation. The control circuitry may be configured to enable the operator to actuate a first button () of the one or more buttons to shift to a second mode of operation in which speed of the fan assembly is not proportional to the position of the stepless trigger () over at least a portion of a range of motion of the stepless trigger ().

Blower with cruise control and boost function

A blower () may include a housing (), a blower tube (), a fan assembly () and an eyelet (). The housing () may include a handle portion () defining a handle aperture (). The blower tube () may extend forward from the housing () and define a tube axis (). The fan assembly () may be operably coupled to the blower tube () to force air through the blower tube () responsive to operation of a motor (). The eyelet () may be disposed on a side portion of the housing () proximate to the handle aperture ().

A battery-powered portable cutting tool includes a housing, a cutting element, an electric motor to drive the cutting element to cut, a battery to supply electric current to the motor and a control circuit to control the supply of electric current to the motor from the battery. The control circuit may include a main switch and an auxiliary switch. The control circuit may have an active state in which the main switch allows electric current to flow to the motor and an inactive state in which the main switch does not allow electric current to flow to the motor. The operation of the auxiliary switch causes the control circuit to change between the active and inactive states. The auxiliary switch is arranged to determine whether the tool is in an inappropriate state to be used and, if so, cause the control circuit to change to the inactive state.

Battery-powered portable cutting tools

A blower may include a housing, a motor, a fan assembly and an aperture array. The housing may include a handle portion, a top wall and a bottom wall. The fan assembly may be operably coupled to the motor to force air through a blower tube responsive to operation of the motor. The blower tube may define a tube axis. The aperture array may be provided at a portion of the housing to provide a path for air to the fan assembly. The aperture array may be defined by a plurality of vanes disposed at a portion of the housing between the top wall and the bottom wall. The vanes may be angled downward relative to the handle portion.

A method of cooling blower components may include rotating a fan assembly () responsive to operation of a motor (). The rotation of the fan assembly may create an underpressure region in an inlet portion () and an overpressure region at a main channel () of the fan assembly (). The method may further include drawing air into the inlet portion () through a control unit housing portion () of a housing () of the blower () to cool a control unit () of the blower (), drawing air into the inlet portion () through a battery compartment () to cool a battery () of the blower (), and pushing air from the main channel () through a motor housing () to cool the motor ().

Power equipment cooling system

A method of controlling operation of a hand held power tool may include receiving information indicative of a type of cutting equipment attached to the hand held power tool () based on operation of a working assembly () in a selected direction of rotation. The working assembly () may be configured to be bi-directionally rotatable to perform a cutting function using cutting equipment attachable to the hand held power tool (). The method may further include determining the type of cutting equipment attached based on the received information, and selectively inserting an operational constraint on the working assembly based on the type of cutting equipment and a selected direction of rotation for the working assembly.

Dual direction trimmer with self detection capability

A hand-held cutting device may include a working assembly, a motor and a control assembly. The working assembly may be configured to be rotatable in a first direction and a second direction to perform a first function when rotated in the first direction and a second function, different from the first function, when rotated in the second direction. The motor may be operably coupled to the working assembly to rotate the working assembly. The control assembly may be operably coupled to the motor to enable an operator of the device to select a rotation direction for the working assembly. The working assembly may be configured to perform the first and second functions using a single blade assembly.
