A system for controlling a power-converter device of a DC/DC type, having an input connected to a first electric battery at an input voltage, and an output connected to a second electric battery at an output voltage, and being provided with: a transformer stage, with a primary winding coupled to the input, and a secondary winding coupled to the output; a switching stage, arranged between the input and the primary winding and supplying an alternating electrical quantity to the primary winding as a function of the input voltage; a rectifier stage arranged between the secondary winding and the output for generating the output voltage. A control stage switching controls the switching stage at a switching frequency, as a function of a measurement signal indicative of an electrical output quantity, by means of a digital average-current-mode control, obtaining the measurement signal by means of a subsampling of the electrical output quantity, at a sampling frequency, lower than the switching frequency.

System and method for digital control of a DC/DC power-converter device, in particular for automotive applications

Provided in a gas-feed system, in particular a system for supplying methane or hydrogen to an internal-combustion engine, is an electronic pressure-reducer or pressure-regulator unit, integrated in which are both a pressure-reducing valve for reducing the pressure of the gas coming from the fuel tank to a value suitable for supplying a distribution manifold or rail and a modulating solenoid valve that functions as modulator of the degree of pressure reduction performed by the pressure-reducing valve. Likewise made in the body of said unit are passages that provide the communications of said valves with one another and of each of said valves with the inlet and the outlet for the gas in said unit. Furthermore, the unit incorporates an electronic control module for controlling the modulating solenoid valve.

There is described a voltage booster circuit for powering a piezoelectric actuator of an injector, and having a first and a second input terminal supplied with an input voltage; a first and a second output terminal supplying an output voltage greater than the input voltage, the second input terminal and second output terminal being connected to each other over a common line; a first and a second inductor coupled magnetically and connected in series between the first input terminal and the first output terminal; a capacitor connected between the first output terminal and the second output terminal; and a controlled switch connected between the intermediate node between the first and second inductor, and the second input terminal and second output terminal, and which switches between a closed operating state, to permit charging of the first inductor by the input voltage, and an open operating state, to permit transfer of the charge stored in the first inductor to the capacitor via the second inductor.

Voltage booster circuit for powering a piezoelectric actuator of an injector

The system makes it possible to control at least one piezoelectric actuator having a capacitive impedance and includes a source of voltage, a control circuit branch in parallel with the source, in which the actuator is connected in series to two electronic switches each having a respective parallel diode; an energy accumulating inductor with one terminal connected between the said switches and the other connected to the voltage source; and an electronic unit operable to control the said controlled switches according to predetermined modes of operation.
