An apparatus for applying a lid () to a support () containing a product. The apparatus () comprises a supporting element (), having a contact portion (), and a closing element (), having a fixing portion (), which are movable between a home position and a working position, in which the closing element () is partly inserted into the seat () having one or more lateral surfaces () defining the contact portion (). When the two elements (), () are in the working position, the fixing portion () is in the seat () and the two portions (), () are coupled for clamping a part of the lid () and a part of at least one lateral wall (). The fixing portion () is configured to fix the part of the lid () and the part of the lateral wall () which are clamped.

An apparatus for application of a film () to a support (), comprising: a movement path with an application station (); a movement element () slidable along the movement path; a supporting element () coupled to and movable with the movement element () which defines a housing () for the support (); an application device () in the application station () for applying the film () to the support () when the supporting element () is in the station. The application device () comprises a closing element (), a contact element () and the supporting element () in the application station () interposed between them. When the supporting element () is in the application station (), the closing element () and the supporting element are movable between an opening position, in which they are uncoupled and spaced apart from each other, and a closing position, in which they are coupled to apply the film () to the support (). The contact element () supports the supporting element () when the supporting element and the closing element () are in the closing position.

Method for making a container comprising an outer skeleton and an inner layer of thermoplastic material, related container and paper-industry article used in the method

A paperboard article () for making a container () comprises an annular frame (), which surrounds an internal zone (), and a plurality of wings () connected to the annular frame (). Each wing () comprises a first portion () and a second portion (), wherein the second portion () is connected to the annular frame () and is interposed between the annular frame () and the first portion (). The paperboard article () is configured to adopt a flat configuration and an expanded configuration. In the flat configuration, the paperboard article () has a substantially planar shape and the wings () are coplanar without overlapping each other. In the expanded configuration, the paperboard article () has a substantially tray-like shape, wherein the annular frame () forms an annular flange (), the first portions () of the wings () form a bottom wall () and the second portions () of the wings () form lateral walls (). For at least one pair of wings (), the first portion () of a first wing has a seat () and the first portion () of a second wing has a projection () that is housed in the seat () of the first wing: in the expanded configuration, an edge section () of the projection () makes contact with an edge section () of the seat ().

Paperboard article for making a container and container comprising the paperboard article

An apparatus can be used for packaging a product. The apparatus includes a frame, a conveyor, and a packaging station. The packaging station receives a support at a respective positioning seat, receives a portion of a film above the support so that, between the support and the film portion, a reception volume is defined, and sealingly constrains the film portion to the support. The packaging station comprises a penetrating tool having a first through opening and a second through opening. The penetrating tool is arranged in an advanced position in which a part of the tool crosses the support arranged in the positioning seat, accessing the reception volume. At the advanced position, the first through opening is arranged at least partly in the reception volume, beyond the base wall or beyond the lateral wall and the second through opening is arranged astride the base wall or the lateral wall.
