A polymer composition comprising: (a) from 50% by volume to 99% by volume, preferably from 70% by volume to 95% by volume, of at least one homopolymer or copolymer of ethylene; (b) from 1% by volume to 50% by volume, preferably from 5% by volume to 30% by volume, of at least two fillers having different thermal conductivity; (c) from 100 ppm to 4000 ppm, preferably from 200 ppm to 3500 ppm of at least one fluoropolymer; the sum of (a)+(b) being 100. Said polymer composition can be used as a phase change material (PCM), in particular for thermal energy storage (TES), more in particular for the storage of solar energy.

Polymer composition and its use as a phase change material

The present invention relates to an aqueous emulsion comprising: a) from 50% to 60% of an organic phase dispersed in an aqueous phase, said organic phase containing a mixture including from 24% to 30%, calculated with respect to the final emulsion, of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers and/or polyalkyl(meth)acrylates, indicated in the present description as polymeric component, and a high-boiling organic solvent, or a mixture of said solvents; b) a primary emulsifier at a concentration higher or equal to 0.1% and lower than or equal to 3% by weight, calculated with respect to the final emulsion; c) from 37% to 47% of an aqueous phase; wherein the ratio between said polymer component and said organic solvent in the final aqueous emulsion is at least 1/1 and where the organic solvent and any polymer of the polymeric component have a Hildebrand solubility parameter &#x3b4; such that, the difference (&#x3b4;&#x3b4;) is lower than 2 in absolute value for any polymer of the polymeric component.

Said polyethylene powder comprising at least one additive can be advantageously used in rotomolding.

A polymeric composition suitable for lowering the Pour Point of paraffinic crude oils comprising a synergic mixture including at least two ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers respectively having an average molecular weight Mw lower than 130,000 Dalton (measured via GPC), a content of vinyl acetate monomer ranging from 15 to 50% by weight, with the proviso that the content of vinyl acetate monomer in the respective copolymers differs from one copolymer to another, by over 5%, on a weight basis.

Compositions based on ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers and their use as anti-gelling additives of paraffinic crude oils

Crosslinkable composition comprising: (a) from 80% by weight to 98% by weight, preferably from 85% by weight to 95% by weight, of at least one high density polyethylene (HDPE); (b) from 2% by weight to 20% by weight, preferably from 5% by weight to 15% by weight, of at least one linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE); (c) from 0.2 parts by weight to 1.5 parts by weight, preferably from 0.5 parts by weight to 0.8 parts by weight, with respect to 100 parts by weight of (a)+(b), of at least one crosslinking agent selected from organic peroxides; (d) from 0.2 parts by weight to 2.5 parts by weight, preferably from 0.5 parts by weight to 1.0 parts by weight, with respect to 100 parts by weight of (a)+(b), of at least one co-crosslinking agent selected from allyl compounds. Said crosslinkable composition can advantageously be used in rotational molding ('rotomolding').
