The present invention refers to a tyre for bicycle wheels comprising a tread band containing an anti-puncture system capable of having high resistance to the penetration of foreign bodies, simultaneously ensuring optimal handling performances. In particular the present invention regards a tyre for bicycle wheels comprising: a carcass structure; and&#x2014;a tread band arranged in radially outer position with respect to the carcass structure; wherein said tread band is made by means of vulcanisation of a cross-linkable elastomeric composition comprising a reinforcement system constituted by modified silicate fibres of nanometric size and fibrillated polymer fibres of micrometric size.

Tyre for bicycle wheels

A bicycle tyre (), comprising a carcass structure () and a tread band () applied in a radially outer position with respect to the carcass structure (). The tread band () comprises a crown portion () extending astride of an equatorial plane (X) of the tyre () and having a predetermined radius of curvature (R) and a pair of lateral portions () arranged on axially opposite sides with respect to the crown portion () and each having a second radius of curvature (R) greater than said first radius of curvature (R).

Bicycle tyre

A tyre for bicycle wheels, having a carcass structure, a belt layer arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the carcass structure and a tread band arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the belt layer. The carcass structure has a carcass ply engaged with a pair of annular anchoring structures and including a plurality of reinforcing cords. The cords are inclined, with respect to an equatorial plane of the tyre, at a first angle between about 65&#xb0; and about 90&#xb0;. The belt layer has a reinforcing cord wound onto the carcass structure according to a winding direction oriented, with respect to the equatorial plane, at a second angle between about 0&#xb0; and about 30&#xb0;.

Tire for motorcycles, having a tread band includes a central annular portion symmetrically located astride an equatorial plane and two shoulder annular portions located on axially opposite sides with respect to the central annular portion. The tread band has a void-to-rubber ratio not greater than 25%. The central annular portion has an axial extension not greater than 65% of the axial development of the tread band and the central portion has at least one module circumferentially repeated. Each shoulder portion has an axial extension not greater than 40% of the axial development of the tread band and the module includes at least one pair of first grooves with substantially circumferential course, at least partially located on opposite sides with respect to the equatorial plane. The central annular portion has a void-to-rubber ratio not smaller than 10% and the module includes a plurality of second grooves located substantially transversally with respect to the equatorial plane. The substantially transverse second grooves define in each module together with said first grooves at least two tread band solid portions. The second grooves have at least one end spaced away from the adjacent first groove by a distance so as to form a substantially continuous tread portion adapted to connect at least two tread band solid portions.

Tyre for motorcycles

A tyre for off-road motorcycles has a tread band provided with blocks, a carcass structure with crossed plies and at least one zero degree belt layer with limited angular extension, i.e., a zero degree belt layer which does not extend up to the axially outer edges of the tread band.

Off-road motorcycle tyre

A method for measuring at least one characteristic property of a pneumatic tire for a vehicle wheel includes arranging at least one array of deformable sensors along a first direction; making the tire pass at speed over the sensors along a second direction; generating an electrical signal proportional to a speed of deformation of each sensor when the tyre contacts the sensor; detecting the electrical signal generated by each sensor; and determining, starting with the detected signals, the at least one characteristic property. The second direction is a motion direction of the tire. The first direction is transverse to the second. The at least one array of sensors extends in the first direction for a distance greater than or equal to a dimension of the tire in the first direction. When the at least one array includes a plurality of arrays, the arrays may be arranged substantially in parallel.
