The present disclosure relates to a dry-type cable termination comprising: a tubular support structure comprising: an insulator support comprising a frustoconical portion, wherein the insulator support is made of an electrically insulating non-metallic composite material having a tensile modulus of at least 11 GPa; and a screen tube; an insulating body at least partially externally covering and directly contacting the support structure; an elastomeric stress cone housed in the frustoconical portion and in direct contact to the frustoconical portion; an electrode, housed within the screen tube, connected with the stress cone and in electric contact with the screen tube.

Dry-type high voltage cable termination

The present disclosure relates to a submersible apparatus () for testing a submarine high voltage (HV) cable system. The apparatus () includes a cable termination () including an electrical insulator () and a shielding electrode () for the electrical connection with a cable end (). Cable termination with an integrated monitoring device

The present invention relates to an accessory for high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) energy cables comprising: at least one element made from a crosslinked elastomeric polymer material, and at least one scavenging layer comprising zeolite particles. The zeolite particles are able to scavenge, very efficiently and irreversibly, the by-products deriving from the cross-linking reaction, so as to avoid space charge accumulation in the element during the accessory lifespan. Moreover, the zeolite particles can prevent the crosslinking by-products present in the element of a non-degassed accessory from migrating towards the insulating layer of the energy cable on which the accessory is mounted.
