A clock data recovery circuit includes a deglitch filter circuit and a timer circuit. The deglitch filter circuit is configured to remove pulses of less than a particular duration from a data signal to produce a deglitched data signal. The timer circuit is coupled to the deglitch filter, and is configured to compare a duration of a pulse of the deglitched data signal to a threshold duration, and identify the pulse as representing a logic one based on the duration of the pulse exceeding the threshold duration.

Clock data recovery circuit

A clock data recovery circuit includes a deglitch filter circuit and a timer circuit. The deglitch filter circuit is configured to remove pulses of less than a predetermined duration from a data signal to produce a deglitched data signal. The timer circuit is coupled to the deglitch filter, and is configured to compare a duration of a pulse of the deglitched data signal to a threshold duration, and identify the pulse as representing a logic one based on the duration of the pulse exceeding the threshold duration.

Frequency lock loop (FLL) circuits, low voltage dropout regulator circuits, and related methods are disclosed. An example gate driver integrated circuit includes a first die including a FLL circuit to generate a first clock signal having a first phase and a first frequency, a second clock signal having the first frequency and a second phase different from the first phase, and control a plurality of switching networks to increase the first frequency to a second frequency, and generate a feedback voltage based on the second frequency, and a second die coupled to the first die, the second die including a low dropout (LDO) circuit and a driver, the driver configured to control a transistor based on the first frequency, the second die configured to be coupled to the transistor, the LDO circuit to generate a pass-gate voltage based on an output current of the LDO circuit satisfying a current threshold.

Frequency lock loop circuits, low voltage dropout regulator circuits, and related methods

A circuit includes an input that receives a current that increases as a tunneling current sensor moves closer to a media. A high gain path is operatively coupled to the input to amplify the received current as a first amplified output. The first amplified output increases until a saturation threshold is attained for the high gain path. Further increases in the received current beyond the saturation threshold are diverted from the input as an overflow current. A low gain path is operatively coupled to the input to amplify the overflow current as a second amplified output. The second amplified output increases with the overflow current as the tunneling current sensor continues to move closer to the media.

Analog front end for proximity sensing of tunneling current

A reduced power driver is described. This reduced power driver comprises: an input current driver for transmitting a current signal that is a fraction of a DC current signal; a first resistor coupled at one end to a first voltage supply; a first current driver coupled to the input current driver and a first switch control; a second switch coupled a first current driver output, another end of the first resistor, and the output control; a dynamic booster coupled between the first voltage supply and the output control; and wherein the reduced power driver is operative for selectively adding an overshoot current to the output control so that power consumption is reduced, while synchronizing the DC current signal with the overshoot current.

High-speed, low-power driver system

A current switching system is described. This system includes first and second mirrored devices coupled to each other and a coupled terminal, and the first and second mirrored devices are coupled to an input terminal and an output terminal; a storage element in element in parallel with the first mirrored device and the first degeneration device; a variable impedance device coupled between the coupled terminal and a low voltage device; and a current mirroring accuracy enhancing circuit coupled between the coupled terminal and a high voltage device, wherein the variable impedance device dynamically changes a current at the coupled terminal to a second level depending when a threshold is met, and an impedance on the coupled terminal remains low both before switching and during switching.

Current switching system

Systems and methods are disclosed that can be used to control an output signal, such as for controlling a heater for a hard disk drive. A system can include a pre-driver configured to provide a pulse-width modulated (PWM) signal to an output system in response to a control signal and a feedback signal, the output system being configured to provide an output signal for driving a load, the pre-driver comprising a modulator that provides the PWM signal in response to the control signal and a filtered feedback signal. A low pass filter is configured to receive a feedback signal with a voltage corresponding to a voltage of the output signal, wherein the low pass filter provides the filtered feedback signal that controls a frequency of the PWM signal to the modulator, the low pass filter having a bulk driven operational transconductance amplifier.
