An example system is provided. In some embodiments, the system may include a coupler. In some embodiments, the coupler may include a first ground layer. In some embodiments, the coupler may include a conductive layer. In some embodiments, the conductive layer is substantially infinite shaped. In some embodiments, the coupler may include a first dielectric layer positioned between the first ground layer and the conductive layer. In some embodiments, the coupler may include a second ground layer having an aperture. In some embodiments, the coupler may include a second dielectric layer positioned between the conductive layer and the second ground layer. In some embodiments, the system may include a feed path configured to transport a plurality of radio frequency identification transponders through a defined region proximate the coupler. In some embodiments, the system may include a controller.

Method, apparatuses, and computer program products for automatically configuring one or more rotation angles for one or more associated locator units. An example method comprising receiving, from the one or more locator units, one or more dimensional values pertaining to the orientation of the one or more locator units; determining, based at least in part on the one or more received dimensional values for each of the one or more locator units and a configuration table pertaining to the locator unit type, one or more rotation angles for each of the one or more locator units; storing the one or more rotation angles for the each of the one or more locator units in an associated memory; and determining a location for one or more objects in an environment based at least upon the one or more rotation angles for each of the one or more locator units.

Methods and apparatuses for automatically commissioning locators

Various embodiments illustrated herein disclose a method. The method includes receiving, by a first radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag in an RFID reader, a first interrogation command from another RFID reader. The method includes transmitting, by the first RFID tag in the RFID reader, a first response signal to the other RFID reader in response to the reception of the first interrogation command. The method further includes transmitting, by a processor in the RFID reader, a second interrogation command to one or more second RFID tags, where the transmission of the second interrogation command is concurrent to the reception of the first interrogation command or the transmission of the first response signal.

Methods and systems of radio frequency identification (RFID) communication

A method and apparatus are provided including a current detector monitoring an electrical conductor supplying power to a geographic area for shorts, arcing or overloads, the current detector detecting a short, arc or overload on the electrical conductor, and a fire alarm panel adjusting a sensitivity of a fire detector within the geographic area in response to the detected short, arc or overload.
