A source driver is proposed. The source driver includes N output buffers, (N&#x2212;1) switches, a first auxiliary switch, a second auxiliary switch, and a third auxiliary switch. The (N&#x2212;1) switches are respectively coupled between N output terminals of the N output buffers. The first auxiliary switch is coupled between a first output terminal among the N output terminals of the N output buffers and a first endpoint. The second auxiliary switch is coupled between the first output terminal and a second endpoint. The third auxiliary switch is coupled between the first output terminal and a third endpoint. Each of the first endpoint, the second endpoint, and the third endpoint receives a first fixed voltage, a second fixed voltage, a third fixed voltage, or is in a floating state.

Source driver

A driving device is provided. The driving device includes a first code mapping circuit, a first source driving channel, a second code mapping circuit and a second source driving channel. The first code mapping circuit converts a first input code in input data into a first intermediate code according to a first code-to-code mapping relation. The first source driving channel converts the first intermediate code into a first analog voltage according to a first code-to-voltage mapping relation. The second code mapping circuit converts a second input code in the input data into a second intennediate code according to a second code-to-code mapping relation which is different from the first code-to-code mapping relation. The second source driving channel converts the second intermediate code into a second analog voltage according to a second code-to-voltage mapping relation which is different from the first code-to-voltage mapping relation.

Driving device

A driving device includes a first driving circuit, coupled to a first voltage source and a second voltage source having a voltage level lower than the first voltage source, for driving a positive output voltage to a first output end according to a first display voltage and charging the first output end with the second voltage source according to a control signal indicating whether the driving device performs a polarity inversion; and a second driving circuit, coupled to the second voltage source and a third voltage source having a voltage level lower than the second voltage source, for driving a negative output voltage to a second output end according to a second display voltage and discharging the second output end with the second voltage source according to the control signal.

Driving device having low charging/discharging power consumption

A driving module for a driving device of a display system includes a control unit, for generating a control signal according to a polarity signal indicating whether the driving device performs a polarity inversion; a first driving unit, coupled to the control unit, a first voltage source and a second voltage source, for generating a positive output voltage at a first output end according to a first display voltage and charging the first output end via the second voltage source according to the control signal; and a second driving unit, coupled to the control unit, the second voltage source and a third voltage source, for generating a negative output voltage at a second output end according to a second display voltage and discharging the second output end via the second voltage source according to the control signal.

Driving module having low charging/discharging power consumption and driving device thereof

A driving device and a source driving method are provided. The driving device includes a first code mapping unit, a first source driving channel, a second code mapping unit and a second source driving channel. The first code mapping unit converts a first input code in input data into a first intermediate code according to a first code-to-code mapping relation. The first source driving channel converts the first intermediate code into a first analog voltage according to a first code-to-voltage mapping relation. Driving device and source driving method

A source driver and a method for determining polarity of pixel voltage thereof are provided. The source driver includes a data register unit, a plurality of data groups and a plurality of polarity determining units. The data register unit receives an image data signal and provides a plurality of display data. The data groups have at least two data channels respectively. The data channels are coupled to the data register unit to receive the corresponding display data and provide a plurality of pixel voltages. The polarity determining units are respectively coupled to the data channels corresponding to different data groups, and each of the polarity determining units determines whether to invert polarities of a part of the pixel voltages provided by the coupled data channels according to the received display data of the coupled data channels and previous display data corresponding to the received display data.
