An integrated device for wastewater purification, comprising a coagulation zone; a flocculation zone connected to and in fluid communication with the coagulation zone; a flotation zone connected to and in fluid communication with the flocculation zone and comprising a froth discharge port; and a separation zone below and in fluid communication with the flotation zone and comprising a contaminant separator and a purified wastewater discharge port; the wastewater entering the device being mixed with electrolytically-generated coagulants and gas bubbles in the coagulation zone; the flocculation zone receiving and gently mixes coagulated wastewater contaminants and gas bubbles formed in the coagulation zone and aggregating them into flocs before flotation of buoyant flocs in the flotation zone and the separation zone being adapted for further floc formation, oil coalescence, settling and discharge of non-buoyant contaminants.

Device for wastewater purification

The gasifier operates to mix a start up heat source with crude syngas combustion for driving gasification of waste. Combustion flue gas can be maintained above 650&#xb0; C. until reaching a quench to prevent formation of dioxins. Excess heat is liberated through a heat recovery unit. The gasifier can operate in a batch mode to process small batches of waste efficiently for small installations, such as ships, apartment buildings, hospitals and residences.

Method and apparatus for gasification of organic waste

A gasification reactor for processing organic waste in batches comprises a primary gasification reactor () that includes a primary gasification chamber () and a surrounding combustion chamber (), a secondary gasification chamber (), a synthesis gas decontamination unit () and a combustible gas selector (). The waste is loaded into the primary gasification chamber through a latched opening and heated from the combustion of a fuel in the combustion chamber () to convert the waste to a synthesis gas. The gasification chamber () has an intake () for introducing pre-heated process air () therein. The combustion chamber operates either with a conventional fuel () or with the produced synthesis gas (). The secondary gasification chamber () thermally treats the synthesis gas () to eliminate tars. The decontamination unit () scrubs the synthesis gas of contaminants including particulates and acid gases. The clean synthesis gas () is directed to the combustible gas selector () which selectively feeds either the combustible fluid () or the synthesis gas () to the burner ().
