A solid state relay includes a source bus and a drain bus. Solid state switches are arranged to switch power from the drain bus to the source bus. A control circuit controls a gate of the solid state switches. Each solid state switch includes a source terminal, a drain terminal and a gate terminal. The source terminals are conductively attached to the source bus and the drain terminals are conductively attached to the drain bus. The gate terminal opens and closes power through the solid state switches. The source bus is electrically isolated from the drain bus when the plurality of solid state switches is controlled by the gate terminal to an open state, the source bus is in electrical communication with the drain bus when the solid state switches is controlled by the gate terminal to a closed state.

A magnetic flux enhancer system for a reluctance type resolver and an electromagnetic angle sensor having the same are provided. The electromagnetic angle sensor has a stator () and a rotor () that is rotatably supported by a rotation axis on the stator and separated therefrom by a gap, the stator having at least one magnetic field generating means () adapted to generate a distribution of magnetic flux that extends over the gap to the rotor, and at least one magnetic field detecting means () adapted to detect a change in the magnetic flux distribution caused by a rotation of the rotor. The electromagnetic angle sensor comprises a magnetic flux enhancer () adapted to be positioned on a side of the at least one magnetic field generating means that faces the rotor and to concentrate the generated distribution of magnetic flux over the gap along a radial direction substantially perpendicular to the rotation axis.

A contact system includes at least one first contact, at least one second contact, and at least one movable contact. A coil is provided which, when energized generates a force. A magnet is also provided, the magnet having a magnetic force. The forces of the coil and magnet attract the at least one movable contact to the at least one first contact. A return spring having a spring force cooperates with the at least one movable contact to return the at least one movable contact to the at least one second contact when the coil is not energized. The sum of the forces applied by the coil and the magnet are sufficient to overcome the spring force of the return spring to provide a balanced force to both the at least one second contact and the at least one first contact.

A solenoid is provided for an electrical switch. The solenoid includes a coil having a passageway extending therethrough along a central longitudinal axis. The solenoid also includes a movable core having a coil segment and a magnet segment. The coil segment is received within the passageway of the coil such that the coil extends around the coil segment. The magnet segment includes a radially outer surface relative to the central longitudinal axis of the passageway of the coil. The movable core is movable relative to the coil along the central longitudinal axis such that the coil segment is movable within the passageway of the coil along the central longitudinal axis. A permanent magnet extends around at least a portion of the radially outer surface of the magnet segment of the movable core. The movable core is movable along the central longitudinal axis relative to the permanent magnet.
