Frequency separation may include splitting one or more images each into higher frequency components (which includes finer details such-as facial pores, lines, birthmarks, spots, or other textural details) and lower frequency components (such as color or tone). Depth buffering may include storing higher frequency components of the images within a depth buffer based on a distance of a corresponding vertex in the 3D model from the camera coordinate system, and then, using the closest pixel to the camera. This pixel likely has a highest amount of sharpness or detail. The lower frequency components can be averaged to account for illumination differences, but because the high frequency components have been separated, detail in the final texture may be preserved. Methods, devices and computer program products using feature points for generating 3D images

Triggering slow-motion video capture based on object tracking includes receiving user input defining a trigger area on the viewfinder of a digital camera and tracking the movement of an actor in the field of view of the camera. A determination is made that the actor's movement has positioned the actor within the boundaries of the defined trigger area. Slow-motion video capture is initiated based on the determination. Feature detection methods may be used to identify feature points, where some of the feature points correspond to the actor. Additionally, feature point tracking methods may be used to track the movement of the feature points corresponding to the actor. Statistical methods may be used to remove outlier feature points. The trigger area may be tracked and its position updated in order to anchor the trigger window to stationary objects in the field of view of the digital camera.

A network device receives, via a user interface, a selection to call a contact's mobile device.
