A body () of hard candy is formed on a tubular stem () that extends from a reservoir/handle () in which an edible fluid () is contained. The outer end () of the tubular passageway () is open. A cover () is provided. It has an open end () which engages a base wall () and holds the cover () to the base wall (). The cover () includes an end wall () which includes a plug () which enters into the end () of the tubular stem () when the cover () is installed. When the cover () is removed, a consumer may lick the candy () and may squeeze the reservoir/handle () to express edible fluid () out from the reservoir/handle (), through the passageway () and into the consumer's mouth.

Candy product and method of making same

Liquid candy is molded into a body of hard candy HC with a tubular portion of a holder anchored therein. The tubular portion extends into close proximity to an outer surface of the hardened candy HC. A cup-shaped portion of the holder is snapped onto a reservoir cap . The holder is snapped into a fully engaged position. When a consumer wishes to consume the candy product, the consumer pulls up on the holder to move it upwardly relative to the reservoir cap into a second engaged position. A break-away portion of the cap breaks away to open fluid communication between the reservoir and a passageway through the holder

A lollipop comprises a ball of hard candy and an edible stick having a first end extending into a cavity in the ball. The stick comprises pressed candy and a multiplicity of confectionary chips interspersed in the pressed candy. The stick is preferably received into a plastic sleeve to provide a lollipop assembly in which the stick is protected from direct contact while the candy ball is being eaten. In the manufacture of the lollipop, a plurality of book molds are positioned in a line and linked together for simultaneous opening and closing. A plurality of nozzles inject hot syrup into the molds. When the syrup has cooled and the sticks have been anchored therein, the molds are inverted and opened to allow the lollipops to drop out. The manufacture operation is automated and synchronized for maximum efficiency.

A confection device includes a body of confection, such as hard candy, pivotally mounted on a housing. The candy pivots between a position in which it is in a carrying space defined by the housing and a position in which it extends from an end of the housing ready for consumption in the manner of a conventional sucker. When the candy is in the carrying space, the open side of the housing is preferably closed by a cover to protect the candy against contamination.

A sounding toy has a sounding member body that defines a plurality of circumferentially spaced internal cavities (12), each of which is enclosed except for a side opening (10) communicating therewith. A pair of flexible cords (30) extend axially through a center portion of the body (2). The cavities (12) and side openings (10) are configured to produce a whistling sound when the sounding member (2) is caused to rotate by winding and then tightening the cords (30). The geometry of the body (2) is chosen to force air into the cavities (12) when the body (2) is rotating in either direction about its axis.

The body of a dispenser includes a compartment (C) configured to receive a stack of pellets (P). A dispensing slot (S) is located at one end of the compartment (C). A spring biases the pellets (P) toward the slot (S). A lever (50) has a rest position in which it blocks movement of pellets (P) into the slot (S), and a cocked position in which it allows a pellet (P) to move into the slot (S). The lever (50) is biased into the rest position by a J-shaped leaf spring (64). The spring (64) has a curved end arcing around the pivot axis (X) of the lever (50) and a straight end (68). A stop (70) engages the straight end (68) to allow translation but prevent pivoting of the straight end (68) when the lever (50) is pivoted away from its rest position.
