The present invention relates in a first embodiment to a polymer film comprising a propylene random copolymer with a total comonomer content of 4.5 to 12 mol % wherein the sealing initiation temperature SIT of the film is T&#x2212;30&#xb0; C. or less, preferably T&#x2212;33&#xb0; C. or less, in a second embodiment to a polymer film comprising a propylene random copolymer with a total comonomer content of 4.5 to 12 mol % wherein the film is having a relative reduction of the static friction value (inside-inside) from one to four days of 35% or more, preferably 40% or more, in a third embodiment to a polymer film comprising a propylene random copolymer with a total comonomer content of 4.5 to 12 mol % wherein the distribution of the comonomer in the random copolymer determined according to TREF method is multimodal, preferably bimodal, in a fourth embodiment to a polymer film comprising a propylene random copolymer with a total comonomer content of 4.5 to 12 mol %, wherein the copolymer is having an elution interval of 50&#xb0; C. or more, and in a fifth embodiment to a polymer film comprising a copolymer with a total comonomer content of 4.5 to 12 mol % wherein the random copolymer is a unimodal polymer and the elution interval is determined by the equation4.5&#xb7;16wherein Y is the elution interval in &#xb0; C. andm is the percentage of ethylene in the copolymer in wt. %.

Polymer film comprising a propylene random copolymer

The present invention relates to a process for preparing a propylene random copolymer comprising polymerization of propylene with a comonomer, said comonomer being ethylene or an &#x3b1;-olefin comprising at least four carbon atoms, in the presence of a catalyst in a multistage process comprising polymerization of propylene with a comonomer in a first reaction zone including at least one slurry reactor to give a first polymerization product, transferring said first product to a second reaction zone including at least one gas phase reactor and polymerisations of propylene with a comonomer in said gas phase reactor in the presence of said first polymerization product, wherein the temperature in the gas phase reactor is at least 10&#xb0; C. higher than in the slurry reactor and to a polymer obtainable by this process. Furthermore, the invention relates to a propylene random copolymer prepared by copolymerization of propylene with a comonomer wherein the distribution of the comonomer determined according to the TREF method is multimodal, preferably bimodal, a propylene random copolymer prepared by copolymerization of propylene with a comonomer wherein the copolymer is having an elution interval determined according to the TREF method of 50&#xb0; C. or more, a propylene random copolymer prepared by copolymerization of propylene with a comonomer, wherein the random copolymer is a unimodal polymer and the elution interval determined by the TREF method is given by the equation Y&#x2266;4.5&#xb7;m+16 wherein Y is the elution interval in &#xb0; C. and m is the percentage of ethylene in the copolymer in wt. %, and to the use of such a copolymers for the production of a film, of an article by blow moulding or injection moulding, of a fiber or of a pipe.

The invention provides a process for the preparation of a propylene polymer in which proplylene and a comonomer copolymerizable therewith and of greater molecular weight than propylene are polymerized in a single site catalyst catalized polymerization reaction, characterized in that said polymerization reaction is effected at least in part at a temperature of at least 70&#xb0; C.

Polymerization process for producing propylene copolymers

Polymers of propylene with one or two olefin comonomers are produced through the use of a polymerization catalyst supported on a carrier produced by spray crystallization and having a maximum dimension of 55 &#x3bc;m. Polymerization process for producing copolymers
