A diffractive anti-counterfeiting tag structure with capabilities of naked-eye inspection and machine inspection and its method of manufacture. The anti-counterfeiting tag structure has a naked-eye inspection component and a machine inspection non-grating diffractive component. The naked-eye inspection component and the non-grating diffractive component are formed on separate mold-boards and then joined together to form a mold-board using a board-joining technique. Alternatively, a plurality of naked-eye inspection blocks and a plurality of non-grating diffractive blocks are randomly mixed together to form a pixel-like diffractive anti-counterfeiting tag.

An apparatus for producing a dot matrix hologram is provided, which can fabricate a hologram of high quality, simplify the construction, and reduce the cost. This apparatus includes a laser source for providing a laser beam to form interference fringes, in which the laser beam is split and then overlapped to form interference fringes in a small region; an interference spot-adjusting system for adjusting the area of the small region by controlling the diameter of the cross section of the laser beam; an interference spot-revolving system for changing the direction of the interference fringes in the small region; a two-dimensionally movable platform, on which a recording substrate that is used to form a dot matrix hologram can be placed, for adjusting the position of the recording substrate; a shutter for controlling the exposure intensity by controlling the time that the laser beam passes through the shutter; a computer, for controlling the shutter to pass a laser beam of a predetermined intensity, and then controlling the interference spot-adjusting system to change the diameter of the cross section of the laser beam that is split and interfered in the interference spot-revolving system, to thereby form an interference spot on the recording substrate, thereafter sequentially forming other interference spots on different positions of the recording substrate by adjusting the direction of the interference fringe in the interference spot and moving the movable platform to accomplish the production of a dot matrix hologram for the predetermined image.

Apparatus for producing dot matrix hologram

A holographic anti-imitation method and device is provided, which can prevent a creative graphic design from unauthorized reproduction. The holographic anti-imitation method and device provides the creative graphic design as a hidden pattern in a synthesized image formed in a hologram that can be viewed only through a special viewing device. This allows the creative graphic design to be highly difficult to be reproduced by infringing parties. The synthesized image includes a background pattern visible to naked eyes and a hidden pattern merged into the background pattern which is invisible to the naked eyes. The hologram can be a dot-matrix hologram which is formed through laser means that generates two interfering laser beams to form a dot-matrix pattern of the synthesized image in the hologram. The hidden pattern can be viewed only through a special viewing device, such as a lenticular or a grate-like piece. When the viewing device is moved in crosswise or lengthwise direction over the hologram, the hidden pattern can be visualized to the viewer.
