This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for high efficiency (HE) beacons. HE supported access points (APs) and stations (STAs) may operate on resource deployments used for Wi-Fi technology and without support for legacy devices, also referred to as a greenfield deployment. An AP may identify updated capability information and transmit a HE physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) including a beacon frame. A STA may receive, from the AP, the HE or EHT PPDU and identify an indication of change to a content or format of the beacon frame relative to a reference beacon frame. Based on the identified indication, the STA may then determine an updated content or format for the beacon frame and process the beacon frame or skip processing for one or more portions of the beacon frame.

High efficiency signaling

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for analyzing management frames for multiple basic service sets (BSSs). In one aspect, a wireless node may obtain a first management frame from a wireless local area network (WLAN) apparatus, the WLAN apparatus operating multiple virtual access points (VAPs) respectively corresponding to multiple BSSs. The wireless node may determine whether the first management frame includes a BSS profile of a BSS associated with the wireless node based, at least in part, on an arrangement of a plurality of BSS profiles within one or more management frames. The wireless node may determine to further process the first management frame based, at least in part, on a determination that the first management frame includes the BSS profile of the BSS associated with the wireless node.

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for signaling aggregated control information in a wireless communication network. A frame format may include an aggregated control (A-Control) field. In one aspect, the A-Control field may be variable-length to support signaling multiple types of control information. In some implementations, an access point may manage multiple links (multi-link). The A-Control field may be structured to include multi-link control information. This disclosure includes multiple options for extending an A-Control field. Furthermore, a receiving device may acknowledge the A-Control field using various techniques disclosed herein.
