Bicycle rear derailleur device () comprising a chain guide assembly () made up of two parts: a guiding cage () and a tension cage (). It also comprises a movable member () coupled to a base member () via a linking member () to align the chain guide assembly () with the different sprockets. Said tension cage () carries a tension pulley (), is pivotably coupled to the movable member () and is biased by a main spring or biasing member (). The guiding cage () carrying a guiding pulley (), and the tension cage () are both configured to move either jointly or independently of each other, such the distance between both pulleys () is fixed or free respectively, varying as a consequence the chain tension. To do so, the guiding cage () is pivotally coupled to the tension cage () comprising between them coupling means () that selectively and reversibly make both cages united or not.

Bicycle rear derailleur device

A sprocket assembly () to be mounted on a driver body () of a bicycle wheel with a truncated cone shell () having a first opening () in its small base and a second opening () in its large base, both openings being coaxial with the central axis () of said shell; a plurality of toothed sprockets () having different numbers of teeth for engagement with a chain; an axial fixing member (), a radial load transmission profile () and a toothed torque transmission profile (); wherein the truncated cone shell (), the toothed sprockets (), the axial fixing member (), the radial load transmission profile () and the toothed torque transmission profile () are configured in a single piece; being the axial fixing member (), the radial load transmission profile () and the toothed torque transmission profile () all disposed towards the inside of the truncated cone shell ().

Bicycle rear sprocket assembly

A bicycle crank assembly with adjustment orientation system for ovoid toothed chainrings comprising a right crank arm () provided with a fifth torque transmission profile (); a shaft () provided with a second torque transmission profile () which is non-rotatably engaged to said fifth profile (); and a transmission element (), for incorporating toothed chainrings, provided with a fourth torque transmission profile () to non-rotatably engage with the first torque transmission profile () of the shaft (). So, when combining the N2 angular positions provided by the coupling between the right crank () and the shaft () with the N1 angular positions provided by the coupling between the transmission element () and the shaft (), Nt different relative angular positions between the right crank () and the transmission element () are obtained, thus increasing the possible orientations and decreasing the angular increment between consecutive orientations of the crank assembly.

Bicycle crank assembly

A freewheel mechanism comprising two coaxial carrying members for eventually transmitting torque there between, being both members axially fixed but rotatably mounted along an axis. This mechanism further comprises longitudinal pawls housed in cavities, predominantly radially disposed in one of the carrying members, arranged to engage and disengage with a toothed ring placed between said carrying members. This mechanism allows a partial declutch of the carrying members, due to said toothed ring is always forced by longitudinal pawls, to slide bi-directionally in the axial direction, being declutching the axial movement from a first clutch position corresponding to non-freewheeling, to a second declutch position corresponding to freewheeling, and being clutching the axial movement of the toothed ring from the second declutch position to the first clutch position.

Freewheel mechanism

A torque and power measuring device corresponding to the non-drive side cyclist leg, comprising a hollow shaft connecting the two bicycle crank arms with strain sensors arranged in the shaft surface. These sensors are connected to an electronic control unit housed inside the shaft, to which are also connected other different sensors to measure a plurality of interesting quantities (pedaling cadence, crank arm angular position . . . ). This electronic control unit picks the sensor signals up, stores them and performs pre-programmed software operations to later wirelessly output the result signals towards a receiving device for analysis and/or storage them, by means of an antenna located outside the shaft and anchored to the outer surface of the jointed crank arm with the shaft.

Pedaling torque and power measuring device for a bicycle

Bicycle single-acted gear-shifting device (), comprising one front or rear derailleur () coupling a ratchet indexing mechanism () acted by only one single-acting slave-connector () attached to said ratchet indexing mechanism (), operated by a unidirectional operator mechanism () with optional multiple unidirectional handle operator units (). Said ratchet indexing mechanism () removably defines and holds a plurality of predetermined working stable positions of the derailleur's cage-plate () for each gearshift, and it comprises a ratchet-gear () with a pawls' system. And said unidirectional operator mechanism () comprises optional multiple unidirectional operator units () connected in parallel with the only single-acting slave-connector (), in order to indistinctly operate it, by means of a branched single-acting drive circuit () which can be arranged either using a hydraulic circuit (&#x2033;) acting by pushing, or using flexible cables (') and housings () to act by pulling.

Bicycle single-acted gear-shifting device and its unidirectional operator mechanism

A bicycle dual control device hydraulically operated, so that using one single device the cyclist may operate, by applying different hand pressures or taps from the handlebar, two unidirectional control mechanisms, preferably a brake and a bicycle gear-shifting mechanisms. The control device comprises two unidirectional control units within a single lever or handgrip attached to the handlebar, wherein each one of them comprises an acting member, an operating member connected to a control circuit and a coupling element which links the two previous members. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the operating member related to the gear shifting is hydraulic and comprises a piston and a cylinder mounted integrated inside the brake acting member.

Hydraulic dual control device for bicycle

Crank arm spider adjustment orientation system to provide different angular orientations in the attachment of at least an ovoid chainring, comprising an ovoid chainring () and a spider (), both of them provided with multiple anchorage points () arranged as holes distributed along the perimeter of a BCD, and mechanical anchorage means () engaging chainring anchorage points () with corresponding spider anchorage points (); where the number of said spider anchorage points () is multiple of and greater than the number of said mechanical anchorage means (), and the angular increment between consecutive chainring's () orientations provided by the chainring anchorage points () is different than the angular increment between consecutive chainring's () orientations provided by the spider anchorage points (), so the combination of the spider () with at least one ovoid chainring () multiplies the possibilities for said ovoid chainring's () orientation reducing the angular increment between consecutive chainring's () orientations.

Crank arm spider improvement for attaching ovoid chainrings

A drive mechanism applicable to bicycles for increasing the efficiency of pedaling action via independent pedals with a sinusoidally varying transmission ratio. The drive mechanism achieves increased efficiency by making the pedals independently synchronized with a varying transmission ratio so that the coincidence of both legs in dead centers is avoided when one pedal is in an upper and the other pedal is in a lower position, making the pedal which is going up move more rapidly than the pedal going down. This kinematic is achieved in two possible embodiments: in the first embodiment, two pairs of elliptic gears are used to synchronize the independent pedals, and two eccentric chain wheels, integral with respective pedal rods, are used to transmit power through two parallel corresponding chains towards the rear wheel, while in the second embodiment, the elliptic gears synchronize the kinematics and transmit power from the left pedal rod towards the right pedal rod, integral with the eccentric chain wheel, and from there towards the rear wheel by the corresponding chain.
