The present invention is directed to a generally L-shaped frame assembly or dolly for mechanical devices, such as generators. The assembly includes a first and second frame portions. The first frame portion includes intermediate segments which are substantially equal or greater than the length of the mechanical device so as to protect the device and provide a lifting point for hoisting.

Dolly frame generator

A power tool control system connected with a drill press provides a system for determining operational settings for the drill press and/or structural factors of a workpiece to be operated upon by the drill press. For instance, the power tool control system may establish a visual indication of the axis of operation of the drill press upon a workpiece and/or determine the thickness, structural composition, and/or moisture content of a workpiece. The determined axis of operation and/or structural factor is utilized to determine the operational settings of the power tool.

Drill press

The present invention is directed to a power finishing tool having a variable position handle. In aspects of the present invention, a power finishing tool includes a motor housing for containing a motor configured to drive a working element. A variable position handle such as linear handle is adjustable generally toward/away from a power cord such that the power cord is maintained in a standard orientation (i.e., toward the rear of the tool/the direction toward a user). In a further aspect a joystick type variable handle is configured to pivot about a Z-axis extending through the power finishing tool. Suitable adjustment mechanisms include a track type mechanism wherein the handle travels along a track, a rotating bracket mechanism for permitting linear adjustment of the handle may be included for varying the position of the handle, and a ball and socket mechanism. An electrical switch for controlling operation of the power finishing tool may be mounted on the handle for controlling the motor included in the power finishing tool or alternatively to the housing in a location so as not to interfere with a user's grasp but permit efficient access. A securing mechanism such as a biased securing mechanism is configured to fix the position of the handle with respect to the motor housing is further included to secure the handle such as a pommel in a desired orientation. Suitable securing mechanisms include friction locks, positive stop (incremental locking mechanisms), or the like for securing the handle with respect to the motor housing.

Method and circuit for inserting a picture into a video picture

The present invention is directed to a generator including a cart-type fame assembly for transporting the generator. The generator of the present invention is mounted to a multi-segmented base frame assembly which forms a partial cage about the generator for protecting the generator while minimizing the overall weight of the apparatus. In additional embodiments, a generator bracket, for supporting an alternator, is implemented to provide a convenient and economical mounting for a pair of wheels.

Cart frame generator

A full power switch assembly for a portable generator that is capable of instantly communicating the presence and operation of a full power switch to the user is disclosed. The full power switch assembly includes a first outlet for supplying electrical power having a first voltage (e.g., 120 VAC), a second outlet for supplying electrical power having a second voltage (e.g., 240 VAC), and a switch including a selector. The selector is movable from a first position to a second position for causing the first outlet to be capable of supplying electrical power up to a maximum power level. Movement of the selector between the first position and the second position further causes indicia to be displayed for indicating whether the first outlet is capable of supplying electrical power up to the maximum power level.

Full power switch assembly for portable generators

An improved portable wood planing machine for the surface planing of wooden planks or boards is provided. In an exemplary embodiment, the planing machine includes a carriage assembly locking mechanism for locking the carriage assembly relative to a plurality of vertical support columns to thereby vertically fix the carriage assembly. In one form, the carriage assembly locking mechanism includes a plurality of levers which cooperate to engage the support columns of the carriage assembly. The exemplary embodiment further includes a depth stop adjustment mechanism which allows the operator to accurately select a minimum workpiece depth from one or more predetermined depths and a material removal indicator assembly operable for enabling the user of the planing machine to accurately determine the amount of material to be removed during each pass of the workpiece.

In an exemplary embodiment, the planing machine includes a carriage assembly locking mechanism for locking the carriage assembly relative to a plurality of vertical support columns to thereby vertically fix the carriage assembly. In one form, the carriage assembly locking mechanism includes a plurality of levers which cooperate to engage the support columns of the carriage assembly.
