Aspects of the disclosure relate to, at a wireless communication device, occupying a slot in a first subchannel, wherein the first subchannel comprises a sidelink subchannel in a licensed band, transmitting sidelink control in the first subchannel during the slot, except during a symbol gap indicated to include at least a last symbol of a plurality of symbols supported by the slot, seeking access to a secondary carrier in an unlicensed band, and transmitting sidelink traffic in the secondary carrier upon receiving the access to the secondary carrier. FBE-based licensed assisted sidelink access

Method and apparatus to configure a UE to store multiple SCG configurations while in a RRC inactive state. The apparatus requests, from each of one or more target nodes, a validity time for each of one or more candidate target SCG configurations for a UE. The apparatus transitions the UE to a RRC inactive state. The apparatus indicates the validity time for each of the one or more candidate target SCG configurations for each of the one or more target nodes.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to paging multiple subscription devices during a common paging occasion. In an aspect, a core network device may perform a first network registration with a first wireless device using a first subscription, wherein performing the first network registration includes associating a paging reference identifier with the first subscription. The core network device perform a second network registration with a second wireless device using a second subscription, wherein performing the second network registration includes associating the paging reference identifier further with the second subscription. The core network device may further request a base station to page the first wireless device and the second wireless device during a paging occasion based on the paging reference identifier.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may generate a buffer status report (BSR) in response to a data radio bearer (DRB) for a secondary cell group (SCG) being a split DRB, the SCG being deactivated, and a buffer size satisfying a threshold for transmitting the BSR to activate the SCG. The UE may transmit the BSR. The UE may communicate on the SCG after activation of the SCG. Numerous other aspects are described.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for service priority information for multi-SIM user equipment (UE) paging. An exemplary method generally includes communicating with a first network using a first set of credentials, wherein the UE includes a second set of credentials associated with a second network; receiving a paging message for an information transmission in the second network, wherein the paging message includes service priority information corresponding to the information transmission; determining, from the service priority information, a service priority value corresponding to the information transmission based, at least in part, on policy configuration information; determining whether to establish a connection in the second network in response to the paging message based, at least in part, on the service priority value; and taking one or more actions based, at least in part, on the determination.

Service priority information for multi-sim user equipment paging

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for signaling a user equipment (UE) to put a sidelink (SL) component carrier (CC) into dormancy or take the SL CC out of dormancy, such as mode 1 or mode 2 sidelink communications. In one example, a method performed by a UE includes receiving an indication to put a first CC into dormancy; and putting an SL CC into a dormant state in response to the indication. In another example, a method includes transmitting an indication that the first UE will put an SL CC into a dormant state; and receiving an acknowledgment (ACK) of the indication.

Dormancy indication in sidelink communication systems

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for a user equipment (UE) entering a dormant state with respect to a secondary cell group (SCG) of a node network (SN) having a primary serving cell (PSCell). In one aspect, the UE may maintain a parameter set for at least the PSCell while the UE is in the dormant state with respect to the SCG. For example, the UE may receive a parameter change message from either the SN or a master network (MN) and transmit a parameter change acknowledgment to either the SN or the MN. The parameter change message may be transmitted as one or both of a downlink control information (DCI) or media access control (MAC) control element (CE). The UE may transmit physical layer measurements to the SN based on the parameter set.

In an aspect, a UE receives, while a secondary cell group (SCG) is associated with a dormant state, at least one downlink transmit beam associated with at least one cell of the SCG. The UE determines, while the SCG is associated with the dormant state, an uplink transmit beam for a primary secondary cell (PSCell) of the SCG based on one or more of a spatial relation indication (SRI), whether there is beam correspondence between the at least one downlink transmit beam and the uplink transmit beam, a default uplink transmit beam, or a combination thereof. The UE transmits a signal related to a measurement between the UE and the one or more SCells of the SCG on the determined uplink transmit beam.

Beam management for a secondary cell group in a dormant state

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for determining a time to stop monitoring a wireless channel for paging information. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may identify a plurality of paging occasions associated with a wireless channel (e.g., of an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band) and monitor the wireless channel for paging information from a base station during a first paging occasion of the plurality of paging occasions. The UE may determine a channel occupancy status of the base station with respect to the wireless channel and may determine a time to stop monitoring the wireless channel for paging information. The UE may ignore a remainder of the plurality of paging occasions based on the determined time to stop monitoring the wireless channel.

Paging with multiple monitoring occasions

Methods, systems, and devices for providing feedback about radio link failure (RLF) events that includes information about directional beams. A user equipment (UE) may experience an RLF event and lose connectivity with a network. After the UE reestablish a radio resource control (RRC) connection with the network, the UE may transmit an RLF report that include information about directional beams, information about a master node and a secondary node in a dual-connectivity procedure, information associated conditional handover procedures, or information about service time interruptions, or a combination thereof. One or more base stations may be configured to transmit at least portions of the information in the RLF report to other base stations as part of a message that may be an example of an RLF indication or a handover report. The message may be transmitted over an X2 interface or an Xn interface.

Techniques for communicating mobility information

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may transmit, to a first radio access network (RAN) node associated with a first subscription, a request to suspend downlink transmissions related to the first subscription based at least in part on a paging request received from a second RAN node associated with a second subscription. The UE may receive, from the first RAN node, a release message indicating that one or more core network nodes associated with the first subscription have suspended the downlink transmissions related to the first subscription. Accordingly, the UE may enter an inactive mode on a first wireless network associated with the first subscription and enter a connected mode on a second wireless network associated with the second subscription based at least in part on the release message. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for management of conditional handover (CHO) configurations. A source base station may configure a user equipment (UE) with one or more CHO configurations for multiple target base stations. The CHO configurations may provide, for each target base station, one or more associated conditions that may trigger the UE to initiate a handover to the particular target base station, or to deconfigure a CHO configuration, such as based on a measurement threshold of one or more target base station measurements, one or more source base station measurements, or combinations thereof. The CHO configurations may also include failure handling information for initiating one or more subsequent handovers responsive to a failure of an initial handover attempt.
