A tool unit for a cutting or sawing machine with a tool carrier, including a first tool and a second tool. The first and second tool include a disk shaped cutting blade and a blade driving member. The first tool is secured to the second tool by means of a central clamping unit. Each blade driving member has a an aperture for attaching the first and second blade driving member together using the central clamping unit. The at least one disk shaped cutting blade has an at least partly recessed portion, adjacent to the aperture. The recessed portion is provided for attaching the disk shaped cutting blade to the corresponding blade driving member by holding the recessed portion axially between a main part and a blade supporting part of the corresponding blade driving member, ensuring an essentially flat outer extension plane of each tool.

A power cutter including a tool unit, an internal combustion engine having an engine cylinder with cylinder bore having a center line and an exhaust port formed in the engine cylinder, a crankshaft, crankcase and an assembly for supplying air and fuel to the engine, and a muffler accommodated in a close and side by side relationship with the engine cylinder, the muffler includes an exhaust gas inlet and an exhaust gas outlet, such that the exhaust gas inlet is adapted to receive the exhaust gases from an exhaust port of the engine cylinder, wherein the exhaust gas inlet is provided on the top or bottom or local side of the muffler.

A cutting or sawing machine () comprising a machine body (), at least one disc shaped, rotatable tool (), an elongated tool carrier () having the substantial shape of a flat bar having a front end and a rear end, two opposite broad sides and two opposite edge sides, said rear end being connected to the machine body. The tool carrier comprises at least two elongated side walls (), a first elongated side wall () on one broad side of the tool carrier, a second elongated side wall () on the opposite broad side, said first and second side walls being essentially parallel with each other, and the front part of either one of the side walls or of a possible central elongated member () between the first and second side walls is provided with a bearing hole () intended to carry a bearing of sliding contact type or of rolling contact type, i.e. a rolling bearing, and the two side walls and the possible central member being connected to each other at a plurality of sites, and each side wall () has a length adapted to essentially cover at least the gap between the machine body () and the perimeter of its associated disc shaped tool (), i.e. the tool located on the same side of the tool carrier, so that from each broad side the side wall () and the associated disc shaped tool together cover the power transmission to increase safety and reliability.

Cutting or sawing machine

A rotatable cutting tool unit of a tool assembly for a cutting machine that is used in conjunction with an associated method of cutting provides several novel aspects. The tool arrangement, which includes two tool units, includes first and second disk-shaped tools rotatable about an axis. The tools define maximum tool arrangement boundaries along the axis. A driving arrangement, at an axial location between the first and second tools, supports the first and second tools for rotation and transfers driving force. A radially outer periphery of the driving arrangement is at a radius less than a radius of a peripheral cutting edge portion of the first tool and less than a radius of a peripheral cutting edge portion of the second tool.

Working tool and machine for sawing or cutting, comprising an annular blade () intended to be rotated about an axis of rotation, encircling the axis of rotation, the annular blade comprising an annular blank (') and means (), e.g. diamond segments (), forming the working part of the tool and provided in connection to an outer edge () of the blank (&#x2032;), the blade and blank also having an inner edge (), an inner edge portion () comprising driving surfaces for rotation of the tool about the axis of rotation, and a web portion () between the outer edge () of the blank and the inner edge (portion) (), the web portion having a first side () and a second side (). At least two substantially circular guide grooves (&#x2032;) are provided in the web portion on its first side, the guide grooves including an inner groove (&#x2032;), which is the guide groove that is nearest the inner edge, and an outer groove (&#x2032;) which is the guide groove that is nearest the outer edge, the guide grooves being concentric with respect to the axis of rotation, and each guide groove having an inner wall (&#x2032;) on its inner side which faces the inner edge () of the blade.

A portable motor chain saw comprises a machine body () which a driving unit, a rear handle (), a front handle which extends over the machine body, a guide bar (), and a dog device () provided such that it can be pressed against the object to be worked by means of the machine, said dog device forming a center of rotation for turning the guide bar in the plane of the guide bar. The characterising features are that the dog member () is provided in front of the front handle (), approximately on a level with that part () of the front handle which extends over the machine body, and is connected to the front handle, and that at least that part of the dog device which is provided to engage the object to be worked, consists of a polymeric material. Preferably, the height of the dog device over the guide bar corresponds to two to three times the vertical width of the guide bar.

Portable motor chain saw

The invention concerns a motor powered saw with a saw chain () and a guide bar (), the rear portion of which is covered by a side cover () and during operation clamped with a certain clamping force between the side cover and a counter support on that side of the guide bar which is turned towards the motor, tensioning elements being provided for tensioning the saw chain by displacing the guide bar forwards, when the guide bar has been loosened by easing the clamping force, and elements for securing the guide bar in a new position. The characteristic features of the invention are that a rotation element () is mounted or mountable on the exterior of the side cover for easing said clamping force by rotating the rotating element a first angle of rotation; for activating said tensioning elements by continued rotation of the rotation element a further, second angle of rotation, said tensioning elements comprising a guide bar displacer () for displacing the guide bar forwards to anew position for tensioning the chain; and for reclamping the guide bar, but now in the new position, by returning the rotation element to its starting position.

The invention relates to a gasoline motor powered, hand-operated working machine, which is stopped by short-circuiting an electric circuit ( ), said stop device being designed in the form of an electric switch comprising a stop control ( ), which can be moved manually between two end positions; a drive position for start of the motor and for motion of the motor, in which drive position said circuit is not short-circuited, and a fixed stop position in which the circuit is short-circuited and the stop control is locked. The characteristic features are that the electric circuit is short-circuited also in a non-locked intermediate position (II) of the stop control, which the stop control must pass, if it is brought all the way from the drive position (I) to the fixed stop position (III), and that a spring ( ) is provided to return the stop control to the drive position, if the stop control is moved from the drive position to said intermediate position and then released, implying that the intermediate position is a re-springing stop position of the stop control.

Fuel filter

A device in connection with a cutting machine with an annular saw blade and with a driving mechanism for off-center drive of the blade. The device includes two first rollers arranged to contact and roll against the web of the saw blade on one side of the blade and two second rollers arranged to contact and roll against the web of the blade on the other, opposite side of the blade. The first rollers are mounted on a first shaft, which is movable along a path against the plane of the saw blade, perpendicularly to the centerline of the shaft, for pressing the first rollers with a certain desired force against the blade web under counter force by the second rollers on the opposite side of the blade.
