A method for controlling regenerative braking of an automobile micro-hybrid system is disclosed. The system includes at least a rotary electrical machine and an electrochemical battery. The method includes a step, when the electrochemical battery has a first predetermined energy state, which corresponds to an initial optimum charging state, of commanding a reduction of the first energy state, to a second energy state corresponding to an intermediate charging state, so as to make a charging capacity available in the electrochemical battery during a subsequent opportunity for recovery of electrical energy during, for example, a braking phase of the vehicle.

A method and device for controlling the starting time of a vehicle mounted thermal engine coupled mechanically to a polyphase rotary electrical machine with an inductor. The electrical machine includes phase windings and sensors for the position of a rotor, and is connected to an on-board electrical network. The method uses pre-fluxing by establishing an excitation current in the inductor for a predetermined pre-fluxing time, before establishment of phase currents. These phase currents are controlled by signals phase-shifted by an angle which varies according to a speed of rotation of the electrical machine, relative to synchronization signals produced by the sensors. During the starting time, the angle of phase-shifting is additionally dependent on a voltage of the on-board electrical network, in a range contained between a first and second voltages, with the second voltage being higher than the first. In the method, the starting time is independent from the voltage of the on-board electrical network.

In accordance with the method, the predetermined pre-fluxing time (Tpref) is a function of the voltage (Vbat+X) of the on-board electrical network. Typically, the predetermined pre-fluxing time (Tpref) is increased when the voltage (Vbat+X) of the on-board electrical network reduces within a nominal voltage range (V, V).

A method wherein the signals (SW, Sw, Sw) controlling the power supply () of the phase windings () of the motor consist of signals (So, So, So) that are out-of-phase by a phase angle (f) which is continuously variable in relation to synchronization signals (Si, Si, Si) generated by sensors () detecting the position of the rotor. According to the method, a processing unit () comprises inlets () for receiving the synchronization signals and outlets () for transmitting the out-of-phase signals. The synchronization signals are binary signals presenting synchronization fronts and the rising and falling fronts of the out-of-phase signals are generated, following a level switching time depending at least on the phase angle, from at least one reference front selected from the synchronization fronts such that the switching time is minimum.
