The invention relates to a multiple trolley container crane having at least two trolley tracks () disposed one on top of the other, on which trolleys () having running wheels, drive devices, and lifting devices move. Characterized in that The invention is suitable for fast loading and unloading of container ships, where several containers are supposed to be loaded and unloaded from them at the same time (Figure).

A straddle loader for lifting a load includes an upper frame having a spreader for grasping the load, a compartment for an operator, at least two traveling frames for receiving the load, and a lifting system connected to the upper frame and the plural traveling frames. The lifting system varies the distance between the upper frame and the plural traveling frames by uniformly transferring the load to the traveling frames so that the upper frame and the traveling frames remain parallel and perpendicular. The straddle loader further includes a plurality of telescoping beams associated with the lifting system so that at least two telescoping beams are connected to each of the traveling frames. Each telescoping beam is capable of extension and retraction. Stationary pivot shafts connect each end of each of the telescoping beams to the respective upper frame or traveling frame and to a pressure cylinder associated with each of the telescoping beams. The pressure cylinder is operatively mounted between one of the traveling frames and the respective one of the telescoping beams associated with the one frame and exerts a force on the respective telescoping beam simultaneous with extension of the telescoping beam.

Straddle loader

The invention relates to a transporter container-loading bridge comprising a two-armed traveling support, a lifting gear, a traveling mechanism and at least one portal, characterized in that at least two trolleys travel on individual tracks of the traveling support on the transporter container-loading bridge with their paths crossing. According to the invention, the running track of one trolley is located above and inside the track of the other trolley, wherein both trolleys travel along both sides of their running tracks. The invention provides the advantage that several trolleys can travel independently from each other without having to transfer, rotate or surrender their load.

Transporter container-loading bridge

A container-transporting system with tracks, linear motors and rotatable wheels. The system includes a network of tracks which are arranged transversely at right angles with respect to one another and parallel to one another and form points of intersection. Guide rails are arranged in the tracks outside the points of intersection and have track-bound transporting carriages moving on them by way of running wheels which can be turned about a pivot spindle. The distances between the running wheels correspond to the distances between the tracks. The running wheels, which are enclosed by horizontal guide rollers, can be rotated in the points of intersection. Magnets are arranged on the transporting carriage in the longitudinal and transverse directions and, by way of stators of the track, move the transporting carriage in the longitudinal and transverse directions. Pivoting slides, which are arranged on the transporting carriage, turn the running rollers.

Container-transporting system with rails

A manipulator for a nuclear reactor is disposed about the upper region of the reactor case. A horizontal guide rail is supported by a slewing track ring mounted on the reactor vessel. A slide is movable along and guided by the horizontal guide rail and a rotatably and vertically movable gripper is attached to the slide where the parts surrounding the gripper are provided with a vertical slot. The gripper can comprise a rotatable post tiltable around a horizontal axis, a vertical slide disposed on the post and vertically movable and a material pick-up device attched to the vertical slide. The vertical slide and the materials pick-up can be moved from below to above the level of the guide rail and vice versa.

Manipulator for a nuclear reactor

A device for manufacturing containers for storing nuclear materials. The purpose of the device is to maintain angular sheet metals in the precise position required during the welding operation which is performed along the outer edges of their flange portions. The device includes a core, a thrust bearing and a counter-pressure bearing. The core is sub-divided into two separate core portions. Spring means tend to draw the core portions toward each other. Fluid operated cylinder-piston units tend to separate the core portions against the action of said spring means. Adjustment screw means provided with abutment means and screwed into one of said core portions project into the other of said core portions with the abutment means thereof. The second core portion has abutment means cooperating with the abutment means on said adjustment screw means.
