A sheet stacker for stacking multiple sheet sizes from B5 to A3 allows easy conversion from stacking sheets without a container to stacking sheet with a container. An elevator mechanism is used to lift a four point frame of a main pallet when sheets are stacked directly onto the main pallet and a spider latch is used that can be rotated to allow the lift frame to pass through the main pallet and lift container pallets that are positioned within each container. Sheets can be stacked on a container pallet without using a container, if desired.

Sheet stacking apparatus

A printer combines the technologies of xerographic and thermal ink jet printing into a unit which is capable of high resolution text and color graphics. The printer is capable of forming a composite image including a xerographic printing portion and a Thermal Ink Jet (TIJ) printing portion by printing the xerographic portion using known xerographic techniques and the thermal ink jet portion by a thermal ink jet printing array associated with the printer. The portions may be printed in any order and may be dried by a drying station after printing of each portion or after both portions have been printed. At least one thermal ink jet printing array can serve as an annotator which is capable of printing additional information onto a copy such as company letterhead, special instructions, addresses or the like.

Xerographic/thermal ink jet combined printing

A two corner container for receiving copy sheets for stacking is positioned within a machine and allows viewing of stacking progress within the machine, as well as, the status of the container outside the machine.

Two corner sheet stacking apparatus

An apparatus in which residual particles are removed from a photosensitive member. A flow of gas is directed tangentially to the cleaner in the region wherein the cleaner engages the photosensitive member. The gas flow aids in the separation of the residual particles from the cleaner.
