A wind power generator has a nacelle; a hub rotatable about an axis of rotation with respect to the nacelle; at least two blades fitted to the hub; an electric machine which is fitted to the nacelle, is bounded by an inner surface extending about the axis of rotation, and has a rotor and a stator; and a cooling system for airflow cooling the electric machine, and which has a deflector body for defining a gap between the deflector body and the electric machine and guiding the airflow into the gap.

Ski-lift seat return device

A rotating machine has a stator and a permanent magnet rotor that is more easily made, lower cost, and lighter by virtue of a plurality of permanent magnet assemblies mounted on a rotor body. Each magnet assembly includes two facing core plate stacks supporting a permanent magnet between them. Each core plate stack is made from a plurality of core plates of substantially identical size and shape and with on or more holes in substantially the same location to form respective bores in the stack. A tie rod is formed in each bore and retains the plates in a stack via bevels in the holes of the end plates. Preferably, the tie rods also apply compressive force as a result of placing the stacked plates in an injection mold, injecting plastic into the mold to fill each bore with plastic, and allowing the plastic to cure. As the plastic cures, it shrinks so that the tie rods pull the end plates together. To enhance the pressure, the stacked plates can be compressed before and during the injection process.

Core plate stack assembly for permanent magnet rotor or rotating machines

A wind power turbine has a fixed assembly; a mobile assembly fitted to the fixed assembly to rotate about an axis with respect to the fixed assembly; and a locking device for making the mobile assembly and the fixed assembly integral with each other; the locking device has at least one groove formed on the fixed assembly or the mobile assembly and coaxial with the axis, and angular locking means that can be activated to pressure engage the groove.

Wind power turbine

A bearing sealing arrangement for rotating machines uses a radially-acting labyrinth seal () to minimize bearing lubricant leakage and an axially-acting screw-type gasket () to return what fluid escapes through the labyrinth seal to the bearing (). In embodiments, the labyrinth seal uses rings () with plastic wear surfaces formed about internal metal bands, the plastic forming corresponding profiles on the ends () of the bands so that the profiles interlock when overlapped to form the rings. The screw-type gasket preferably includes rotor-mounted helical fillets () formed in a section () that is retained in a seat () on the rotor. The section in embodiments is retained by inserting a ring-shaped key () into the section, thereby forcing the section into undercuts of the seat. The arrangement is particularly useful in wind machines, such as wind-turbines.

Combined labyrinth seal and screw-type gasket bearing sealing arrangement

A rotating machine with a permanent magnet rotor that is easier, lower cost, and lighter includes a plurality of permanent magnet assemblies () mounted on a rotor body (). The magnet assemblies () are mounted via magnet holders that each include a pair of claws () connected by a bridge () and forming a seat for a respective magnet assembly (). The claws have terminal expansions () that extend beyond the bridge () and form a second seat in which a tightening section () is received. The claws () can elastically pivot about the bridge () when the terminal expansions () are squeezed together or forced apart, allowing insertion of and securing the magnet assembly, respectively.

Magnet holder for permanent magnet rotors of rotating machines

The invention relates to a cable derailing prevention device for carrier/traction cables of cable car systems in an installation including: a carrier/traction cable; a multitude of rollers which flank a coupling rail and are located at the exit from the station; a multitude of clamps from which the driving means are suspended; at least one roller that has a couple and clamp and supports the cable, and a support roller or hold-down roller battery according to the cable guide, the coupling rail forming a coupling area between the cable and the clamps. According to the invention, an aligning device is mounted in front of the coupling area of the clamps on the cable before the coupling rail and limits the deviation of the cable due to a derailing on the roller battery so that the cable is always located inside the opening of the clamp.

Cable derailing prevention device for carrier/traction cables of cable car systems

The invention relates to a wind power current generator comprising a bearing, a tubular stator that carries a race of the bearing, a tubular rotor coaxial with the tubular stator that can rotate in relation to the stator, a hub connected to the rotor, and at least two blades radially extending away from the hub. According to the invention, the stator and the rotor are formed with substantially tubular cross sections and are concentric to one another. The opposing surfaces of the rotor and stator carry permanent magnets and windings. The stator and rotor extend beyond either side of the magnets and the windings in order to accommodate an antifriction bearing on at least one side. The tubular nature of the rotor and stator allows easy passage of workers within the generator for maintenance thereof and of the blades. Additionally, the tubular nature facilitates air flow through the structure and out the blades, cooling equipment within the structure and aiding de-icing of the blades.

Wind power current generator

A segmented electric generator/motor, such as for a wind powered generator, in which the rotor and/or stator is subdivided in the circumferential direction into segments disposed adjacent to one another. Additionally, the stator segments are accessible via and the rotor segments can be installed and removed in the axial direction in rotor segment mounts provided in the rotor ring. Each rotor segment preferably includes a base shaped to prevent radial and circumferential or tangential motion of the rotor segment while permitting axial motion in the rotor segment's respective mount. The rotor ring segment mounts are preferably sized to allow removal of stator segments through the openings.

In accordance with this invention to the structure of the roller battery and preferably at the entrance of the roller battery in the direction of movement () of the cabins there is joined a lever () bearing at its free end a roller () engaged on the traction cable () and the lever is loaded by elastic means or weights towards the traction cable in such a manner as to soften the passage of this roller over the back of the clamp and to accompany the traction cable in the lowering onto the roller battery.
