A method for manufacturing a weighing system () includes, first, modeling a blank that includes a base () having at least one wall () and a lever () hinged to the base () via thin-section joints () and secured to the base () via material bridges. The lever () has a lever portion adjacent to the wall (), wherein the wall () and the lever portion adjacent to the wall are each provided with an aperture (), and wherein the apertures () are both aligned with each other. The manufacturing method further includes thereafter cutting open the material bridges. Before the material bridges are cut open, however, a fixing bolt () is pushed into the apertures () in such a way that it engages positively in the apertures () during the cutting open of the material bridges.

Method of manufacturing a weighing system, gravimetric measuring device and method of operating the same

A cover () of a draft shield () of a precision balance (), has a support frame () on which holding elements () and/or guide rails () are provided for a front panel () and/or at least one side panel (), and a cover element () which is pivotable, about a bearing () provided at one edge, between a holding position and a releasing position. At the edge positioned opposite the bearing are holding elements () which fix the cover element at the opposite edge of the support frame, wherein the holding elements can be released by displacing at least one portion of the cover element in the direction toward the bearing.

A weighing chamber base () for a precision balance () has a weighing base section () and two side cheeks (), which extend perpendicularly from the weighing base section, and which are arranged on opposite edges () of the weighing base section outside the draft shield (). Also, a draft shield () that has such a weighing chamber base (), and has at least one side panel (), which can be moved between an open position and a closed position. The side cheeks of the weighing chamber base form a section of the side walls () of the draft shield ().

A mounting () for a side panel () of a weighing machine () has two rails () which lie opposite one another and extend substantially parallel to each other. The side panel () is guided between the rails and thereby moves between a closed position and an open position. A stop () on the first rail () co-operates with the side panel (), such that the completely open position is defined, and the second opposite rail () lies opposite the first rail () with such a spacing that the side panel (), when being located in the open position, can be moved away by lifting of the rear edge () of the side panel () over the stop (), but the opposing front edge () of the side panel () cannot be lifted or can only be lifted insignificantly.

Force plate () having a plate-shaped carrier () which, when arranged vertically, has an upper carrier section () at the top in the vertical direction and a lower carrier section () at the bottom in the vertical direction. A first end carrier section () is connected, on the one hand, to the upper carrier section () via a vertical rod () and, on the other hand, to the lower carrier section () via a horizontally oriented spring element (). That end of the lower carrier section () which faces away from the first end carrier section () is connected to the upper carrier section () via a horizontal rod (). The weighing cells have essentially the same configuration, are arranged interchangeably in a two-dimensional array, are releaseably fixed on a support element () and have electrical connectors.

The weighing system has two guide members (), which connect a load support () to a base region fixed to the housing. The weighing system also has at least one transmission lever (), which is mounted on the base region. The base region is divided into two separate subregions (), the transmission lever () extends between these two subregions. Two weighing systems are arranged laterally side by side and their base regions are interconnected in such a way that the two subregions () of the base region of the one weighing system are connected to the two subregions () of the base region of the other weighing system such that their positions are fixed relative to each other.

A weighing system having a base region (), a parallel-guided load receiver (), at least one transmission lever () that is pivotably mounted on the base region via at least one flexural pivot (), and a coupling element () that connects the load sensor to the short lever arm of the transmission lever. The flexural pivot (), at least one part of the transmission lever (), and at least one part of the base region (') are monolithically formed from a block. The flexural pivot () is separated from the rest of the block, and at least one spring connecting segment () of the flexural pivot () includes two spaced-apart thin material points (). In this way, a hysteresis-free flexural pivot can be created without the need for separate assembly components.

A weighing system that operates according to the principle of electromagnetic force compensation, having two connecting rods () which are fashioned as a parallel guide and connect a load receiver () to a base area () fixed to the housing, and having an angle lever () mounted on the base area. The force due to weight that is transmitted by the load receiver acts upon the short lever arm (') of the angle lever via a coupling element, and a coil projecting into the air gap of a permanent magnet system () is fastened to the long lever arm (&#x2033;). The weighing system occupies only a small area since the long lever arm takes the form of a vertical lever arm and extends, at least in part, in the area underneath the connecting rods of the parallel guide. The permanent magnet system is likewise arranged underneath the connecting rods of the parallel guide.

A weighing system that works on the principle of electromagnetic force compensation has two guide members (), which as a parallel guide unit connect a load support () to a base region () fixed to the housing, and at least one transmission lever (), which is mounted on the base region. The weighing system is configured such that a permanent magnet system may be wider than the body of the weighing system and configured to provide a recess into which the permanent magnet system(s) () of an adjacent weighing system () or of adjacent weighing systems can project. The permanent magnet system can thus be twice as wide as the body of the system.

A force sensor with two force input elements to which a force to be measured and a support force are applied. The two force input elements are substantially rotationally symmetrical and are axially spaced apart, and the force to be measured and the support force are applied in radial directions. A spring element, arranged axially between the two force input elements connects these elements and its load-dependent deformation is converted into an electrical signal. A suppression of transverse forces is achieved in a purely mechanical manner so that the influence of transverse forces on the output signal of the force sensor are negligible. Both force input elements are additionally connected to each other by a guide element which encloses the spring element and which has two parallel guide connectors. The guide element is softer in the direction of the force to be measured than in a direction perpendicular thereto.

A weighing sensor including a base () fixed to a housing, a load sensor () connected to the base in a displaceable manner via two arms (), a lever system () having at least one lever and transmitting the load acting on the load sensor to a transducer (), and a built-in calibration weight () which may be lowered onto a support region () for checking and/or calibrating the sensitivity of the weighing sensor. The support region is guided in a parallel manner by two additional arms () and is connected to a lever () of the lever system () via a coupling element (). Relatively large loads on the weighing sensor may be simulated with relatively small calibration weights, without the need for complicated lifting devices. The two additional arms () are connected on the one hand to the support region () and on the other hand to the load sensor () and are located on the side of the load sensor () opposite from the lever system ().

An apparatus for determining the position of the center of gravity of a test body with a test-body receiving plate supported on at least two weighing systems with short displacement in which device the position of the center of gravity is calculated from the particular bearing forces on the weighing systems that the connection between the test-body receiving plate (2) and the weighing systems (12, 13) takes place by means of coupling elements (22, 23) which are permanently connected by their one end to the test-body receiving plate (2), which are connected permanently by their other end to a weighing system (12, 13) and which are designed to be elastically flexible by means of at least one thin area (33, 34) defining a horizontal axis of rotation. This avoids an undefined introduction of force possibly overlaid by frictional forces and frictional moments into the weighing systems and thus increases the measuring accuracy.

Device for determining the position of the center of gravity of a test

An electronic balance with a balance scale (3) which is movably connected by a parallel guide consisting of an upper (4) and a lower guide rod (5) in a vertical direction to a system carrier (1) fixed to the housing, with at least two wire strain gauges (15) which are arranged in the vicinity of the ends of a guide rod (4), which ends are on the housing side, and which wire strain gauges measure the horizontal forces in the guide rod (4) which are caused by the torque transferred from the balance scale (3) onto the parallel guide, and with electronics which corrects the weight value emitted from the weighing receiver on the basis of the output signals of the wire strain gauges (15) and from stored comer-load correction factors that at least one of the guide rods (4) is supported on its housing-side end on an intermediate piece (18), that this intermediate piece (18) is connected by at least one approximately vertical thin web (13) and by a horizontal thin web (14) to the system carrier (1) fixed to the housing and that at least one wire strain gauge (15) is fastened to the horizontal thin web (14). This makes it possible to obtain a high output signal from the wire strain gauge in the case of a corner load without the stability of the parallel guide being adversely affected.
