An isolation bag assembly that holds an electronic device so it can be introduced into a clean environment. A sterilized bag structure is provided. The bag structure also has a front panel, a rear panel, a closed bottom, an open top, a first side edge, and a second side edge. When an electronic device is placed inside the bag structure, the device is positioned in a clear area. Adhesive tabs are affixed to the bag structure surrounding the clear area. The first edge and the open top of the bag structure are folded towards the clear area. The folds are held in place by the adhesive tabs. The folds make the bag structure conform to the shape of the electronic device and remain taut.

Isolation system for a handheld electronic device that enables use within a clean environment

A system and method for advancing an implant into a surgical incision. The implant is placed into a compression sleeve. The compression sleeve has a first open end, a second open end, a first stage of a first length, and a second stage of a second length. The cross-sectional profile of the first stage is larger than the cross-sectional profile of the second stage. The implant is inserted into the first stage of the compression sleeve through the open first end. The compression sleeve is compressed to advance the pliable prosthetic implant at least partially into the second stage of the compression sleeve. The open second end of the compression sleeve is directed into a surgical incision. The compression sleeve is further compressed to advance the pliable prosthetic implant through the second stage, through the open second end, and into the surgical incision.

An anatomical model assembly of the human head for use in teaching medical personnel. The anatomical model has an inner base that is shaped as part of the human skull. A first layer of material covers the base. The first layer of material provides a visual indication of at least some muscle groups contained within a human head. A second layer of material is provided that covers the first layer. The second layer of material has an exterior that is shaped with at least some human facial features. The second layer of material and the first layer of material are separate, unattached layers. The material selected for the first layer mimics the suppleness of muscle. The material selected for the top second layer mimics the feel and elasticity of skin. The result is an anatomical model that can be used to accurately teach, plan and practice medical procedures.

System and method for teaching injection techniques of the human head and face

A system and method of topically applying an anesthetic, or other medication, to one or both lips of the mouth. An applicator device is provided that has a curved first wall, a curved second wall, and a horizontal shelf that joins the first wall to the second wall. The first wall, the second wall and the horizontal shelf combine to define either one or two curved lip compartments. A volume of the anesthetic, or other medication, is placed within the curved lip compartments. The applicator device is partially placed in a person's mouth so that the second wall is positioned between the back of the lips and in front of the teeth. While in this position, the lip of the user passes into the curved lip compartment and is contacted by the anesthetic.

Device and method for topically applying medication to the lips

A surgical drain tube assembly and its associated method of manufacture. The drain tube assembly has an extruded intake tube that defines multiple internal conduits. The intake tube has a first end and an opposite second end. The internal conduits run between the first end and the second end. The extruded intake tube contains multiple slices that run from the first end to a termination point. Each of the slices communicates with a different one of the internal conduits inside the intake tube. The internal conduits are therefore transformed into open grooves that are capable of draining fluids at any point along their lengths. The extruded intake tube can also be cut into separate arms that converge at the termination point. The intake tube is coupled to a single conduit collection tube that draws fluid from all the conduits of the intake tube.

A system for sizing surgically implantable human breasts prostheses includes a disposable brassiere-like garment having two breast-receiving cups of predetermined size and shape, each having a pocket formed on an inner surface thereof. Disposable inflatable, flexible and resilient bladders are respectively receivable in the pockets and may be inflated and/or deflated with an associated disposable graduated syringe, either before or after insertion in the pockets.
