An implantable sensor can be used for determining a concentration of at least one analyte in a medium, particularly in a body tissue and/or a body fluid. The implantable sensor can comprise a flexible, tubular sensor element. A sensor device for detecting at least one analyte in a fluid, in particular in a body fluid, is disclosed. The sensor device includes at least one closed detector chamber and at least one electrical sensor having at least one sensor electrode. The detector chamber can be connected to the fluid in such a way that the analyte can penetrate into the detector chamber. The detector chamber includes at least one detector substance. The detector substance is designed to influence at least one electrical property of the electrical sensor, in particular at least one electrical property of the sensor electrode, depending on a concentration of the analyte in the detector chamber.

The invention concerns a disposable diagnostic part comprising a lancing element () which is designed for puncturing the skin () and has a collecting channel () for taking up body fluid, and comprising a detection element () which has a test layer () provided with reagents for the detection of an analyte in the body fluid and is disposed in the collecting channel (). Disposable diagnostic part and a method for the manufacture thereof

Body fluid sampling device comprising a skin-piercing element having a collection zone for receiving body fluid. In one embodiment, the collection zone includes a plurality of holes, e.g., 3 or more holes, or 50 to 100 holes. The hole size may be small, e.g., having a diameter of 0.01 to 0.5 mm. The holes may or may not extend through the lancet. In some embodiments, the holes have a depth of 50 to 500 &#x3bc;m. In other embodiments, the collection zone is porous, or is a roughened area. The collection zone can take up a very small volume of body fluid, e.g., 3 to 10 nL, in a very short time period, e.g., less than 0.5 seconds. In other embodiments, the device further comprises a fluid receiving means spaced apart from the collection zone so that body fluid in the collection zone will not contact the fluid receiving means initially.

An analytical test element is provided having a surface comprising a chemical detection layer on which a spreading net is disposed, the spreading net being configured to provide for the planar distribution of a liquid sample on the detection layer.
