A pipetting device for taking up and dispensing fluid volumes has a displacement device with a displacement mechanism and a displacement housing. The pipetting device has an adjusting device for changing the stroke of the displacement mechanism. The stroke of the displacement mechanism can be adjusted, and the corresponding adjustment value can be displayed by an adjustment indicator. A coupling device, in a use state, couples the adjusting device to a volume indicator and decoupled the adjustment device from the adjustment indicator. In an adjustment state, the adjusting device is coupled to the adjustment indicator and is decoupled from the volume indicator. The adjustment indicator displays an adjustment value for the stroke of the displacement means. The adjustment indicator can be adjusted in an adjustment state, whereas it is fixed in a use state.

An exhaust valve assembly for a bottle attachment apparatus for handling liquids has a valve housing which forms a valve chamber having an inlet and an outlet, an exhaust valve body disposed on the inlet in the valve chamber, and a safety valve body disposed on the outlet in the valve chamber. The exhaust valve body is biased toward an exhaust valve seat, counter to the flow direction of the liquid and the safety valve body is biased toward a safety valve seat in the flow direction of the liquid. The safety valve seat is integrally molded on the valve housing.

Displacement of the seal in relation to the piston bearing moves the seal in the longitudinal direction, and by this movement, the seal is removed in a manner that preferably is not capable of re-assembly.

A cylinder-and-piston assembly for a bottle attachment apparatus for handling liquids provides a cylinder attachable to a valve block assembly, a piston, displaceable in a sealed manner in the longitudinal direction within the cylinder, and a cylinder housing connected to the piston and externally encompassing the cylinder. The piston is displaceable in the cylinder and the stroke length of the piston in the cylinder is delimited by a fixed stop, which interacts with a stroke length stop on the cylinder housing. A syringe to be handled with the pipette is insertable with its fastening portion and plunger head into the pipette housing and is removable or discardable from said pipette housing in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the pipette housing, i.e., axially. The syringe has as cylinder and a plunger with a plunger head which projects out of the end of the cylinder even when the plunger has been completely inserted into the cylinder. A pipette housing comprises an axially accessible plunger gripping device for the plunger head of the syringe. An actuating device for the plunger gripping device is mounted on the plunger displacing device and is axially displaceable with said adjusting device.

A multichannel pipette, including a grip part defining a longitudinal axis and including a piston-driving device movable axially thereon, a displacement part rotating about the axis and having cylinder and piston arrangements, and a connection device for detachably connecting the grip part to the displacement part and permitting a rotation of the displacement about the longitudinal axis. The connection device includes threaded connection elements engaged with one another. The pistons move axially to the cylinders via a piston-driving device. A connection part of the threaded elements is axially connected with the cylinders and includes a clearance for a rotary bearing provided therein. Form-fit configurations on the support and connection parts are engaged to prevent a reverse rotation of the connection part relative to the support part. By a manual release action, the form-fit configurations disengage, such that the connection part rotates in a reverse rotation relative to the support part.
