A synchronizing device for a transmission has a sliding sleeve comprising an internal toothing with a plurality of sliding sleeve teeth and a clutch body of a gear wheel, comprising n external toothing with a plurality of clutch body teeth formed without meshing bevel at their axial tooth end close to the sliding teeth, into which the internal toothing of the sliding sleeve can engage. A synchronizing unit is provided which can block axial movement of the sliding sleeve, until the speeds of the sliding sleeve and clutch body are adapted. During operation, an axial force of the sliding sleeve against the clutch body is built up and a speed difference between the sliding sleeve and the clutch body is produced, so that the end faces of the sliding sleeve teeth and the clutch body teeth slide along each other, and the sliding sleeve teeth finally are meshed between the clutch body teeth.

Synchronization device and synchronization method

A method for shifting a gear in a synchronizer comprising a synchronizer body arranged on a transmission shaft, a first and a second synchronizer associated to a first and a second transmission gear, wherein the synchronizer has a sliding sleeve and at least one thrust piece which is shiftably arranged on the synchronizer body and can exert an axial compressive force on the corresponding synchronizer ring. The synchronizer includes an elastic actuating element active between the sliding sleeve and the thrust piece, and the sliding sleeve has a detent recess for the neutral position and a release contour that can cooperate with the actuating element such that when the sliding sleeve is shifted for being engaged with one of the transmission gears, the thrust piece is urged away from the corresponding synchronizer ring.

Synchronizer and method for shifting a gear

Provided is a synchronizer device and method for a manual transmission, having a sliding sleeve which includes an internal toothing having sliding sleeve teeth, a clutch body, the clutch body having an external toothing having a multitude of clutch body teeth for internal toothing of the sliding sleeve to engage therein, and a synchronizer unit. The clutch body teeth at the axial tooth ends adjacent the sliding sleeve and/or at least some of the sliding sleeve teeth at the axial tooth ends adjacent the clutch body each include at least one convex end face which extends in the circumferential direction from a root point adjacent to a tooth flank of the respective tooth via an axially protruding apex portion as far as to a root point adjoining an opposite tooth.

Synchronizer device and synchronization method

A synchronizer () for a gear transmission has a synchronizer body (), which is associated to a transmission shaft, and a first and a second synchronizer ring () which are associated to a first and a second transmission gear (). Furthermore, the synchronizer () has a sliding sleeve () and at least one thrust piece () which is shiftably arranged on the synchronizer body () and can exert an axial compressive force on the corresponding synchronizer ring (). Furthermore, the synchronizer () includes an elastic actuating element () which is active between the sliding sleeve () and the thrust piece (), wherein on the sliding sleeve () a detent recess () for the neutral position as well as a release contour () are provided. The release contour () can cooperate with the actuating element () such that when the sliding sleeve () is shifted for being engaged with one of the transmission gears (), the thrust piece () is urged away from the corresponding synchronizer ring (). The release contour () has an axial length which is not more than twice the idle stroke of the sliding sleeve () between the neutral position and the position in which the corresponding synchronizer ring () presses against an associated friction surface.

A transmitter for producing a rotationally fixed connection between a transmission shaft and a transmission gear rotatably mounted on the transmission shaft comprises a transmitter disk and a clutch toothing associated with the transmitter disk. The transmitter disk is provided with a transmitter toothing on its outside.

An infinitely variable speed transmission in which the transmission ratio results from the equilibrium of the total contact pressure force on the one V-belt pulley and the contact pressure force on the other V-belt pulley determined by a V-belt. The total contact pressure force having a torque-dependent proportion and a proportion which is a function of at least one outside operating parameter.

A process is described for shifting a gear change transmission which has no synchronizing members. A defined rotational speed difference is adjusted at the gear clutches in the range of the synchronous rotational speed. Thereby engaging flanks of the clutch halves which are always situated opposite to one another in the same rotating direction come in contact during the shifting.

Process for shifting a gear change transmission without synchronizing

In a shifter of a manual transmission, a rotationally and axially movable shifter shaft is provided with a plurality of coupling members that are immovable with respect to it. The members are staggered with respect to one another both axially and in the circumferential direction. A shift fork is used for actuation through a counter-coupling member associated with the fork.
