A slide rail for tightening a chain has a pivot bearing at one end. A torsion spring is arranged coaxially thereto. The pivot bearing is designed as a slide bearing and is provided with friction disks under initial spring pressure axially, which disks effect a frictional damping of pivotal motion for suppressing vibrations and characteristic disturbances. The slide rail is made in one piece, of synthetic material, and is provided with recesses for the pivot bearing, a torsion spring and frictional dampers.

Rotary pump comprising a housing having a bore and a first adjacent lateral side wall having at least one inlet slit and a second adjacent lateral side wall having at least one outlet slit of at least equal size to said inlet slit for flow of medium axially therethrough, said slits in said lateral side walls defining the path of flow for said medium from said inlet axially directly into said bore and then from said bore axially directly to said outlet slit, a rotor mounted in the bore for rotation about an axis generally parallel to and eccentric to the bore axis, a plurality of vanes pivotally mounted on the periphery of the rotor having free ends in sliding sealing contact with said bore, each vane having lateral surfaces having an inner edge facing the rotor and an outer edge facing the bore which edges on rotation of the rotor pass over an inner boundary edge of the inlet and outlet slits facing the bore of the housing, said inlet slit and outlet slit, curving along an arc around the rotational axis of rotor and extending in such a way that the trailing end of the inlet slit and the leading end of the inlet slit are disposed adjacent a central plane passing through the axis of the bore of the housing and the rotational axis of the rotor.

Rotary pump

A ball bearing for lengthwise movement has a cage sleeve between a shaft and a housing. The cage sleeve has a plurality of circumferentially distributed channels in which a corresponding row of circulating balls is arranged. The balls loaded by the shaft travel in one linear raceway and return unloaded in another linear raceway, the ends of the linear raceways being connected by a pair of reversing raceways. A load-transmitting raceway rail is seated in each of a plurality of openings in the cage sleeve. Each raceway rail has a raceway groove formed by an inner shoulder and an outer shoulder which overlies the linear raceway for loaded balls, a surface portion which overlies the linear raceway for unloaded balls, and a pair of end surfaces which overlie the respective reversing raceways. These end surfaces are substantially parallel to a hypothetical half-circle defined by the path of a center point of a ball during travel in the corresponding reversing raceway and are substantially tangent to a hypothetical extension of the raceway groove such that smooth rolling of a circulating ball is enabled during transitions between the linear raceway for loaded balls and the reversing raceways.

A rotary pump has a housing 1 with a driven rotor 7 installed in the housing 1. Vanes 12 are connected around the periphery of the rotor 7. Helical springs 14 are supported against rotor 7, which, acting on an inner surface of vanes 12, press the free end of the vanes 12 against the bore 6 of the housing 1. Each spring 14 has two coaxial sections of turns which spiral in opposite directions so that the springs 14 press the vanes 12 against the bore 6 of the housing 1 without tilting. These sections of turns are each designed with an adjacent support end 21 on the outer or inner section and a bail section, which is arranged between the inner and outer end of the sections of turns, connecting the inner and outer ends of these sections of turns rigidly together, and which projects radially beyond the sections of turns. The two support ends 21 or the bail section of the helical spring 14 are on a support surface 24 of the rotor 7, and the bail section or the support ends 21 pointing toward the free end of the vane 12 are arranged elastically to press against the inner surface of the vane 12.

A bearing unit for a rotating component, such as a toothed gear or guide pulley, with an integrated pump consists of a housing with a pump chamber defined therein, a pump rotor installed in the pump chamber, a support pin having an end supported in the housing, and a bearing ring rotatably mounted on the support pin. The bearing unit is mountable on a support surface of an associated machine element, such as an engine block by means of a flange on the housing. The pump rotor and the rotating component are securely mounted on the outer surface of the bearing ring in mutual abutting relationship. The pump rotor is disposed between the housing flange and a web portion of the rotating component. The rim portion of the rotating component circumscribes the pump rotor. A sliding sealing ring is provided between the housing or housing ring and the rotating component.

A ball bearing arrangement for longitudinal movement on a shaft or the like comprising a sleeve-shaped cage having a plurality of outwardly directed, axially aligned recesses, in each of which a raceway plate is inserted. Each raceway plate has a closed raceway formed thereon. An endless row of balls is arranged between each raceway plate and the cage. The cage has a plurality of guideways connecting the recesses with the cage bore and guiding the load-bearing balls. The angular distances between the load-bearing balls of adjacent endless rows are unequal. The raceway plates are interchangeable. Therefore, in the construction of each variation only a new cage need be provided.

A ball bearing for longitudinal movement on a shaft or the like, comprising a cage which at least partially surrounds the shaft and is installed in the bore of a housing, ball guides consisting of axial guide tracks for the loaded and unloaded balls arranged next to each other around the periphery with semi-circular deflector tracks joining pairs of these guide tracks, endless rows of balls guided in the guide tracks, and at least one raceway element supported in the bore of the housing carrying the loaded balls of one or more guide tracks on its radially inwardly directed raceway, a longitudinal fillet projecting radially from the inside and toward the outside approximately as far as the height of the centers of the balls between two guide tracks of each ball guide and formed on the cage in such a way that the radius of curvature of each ball guide passing through the centers of the balls of the deflector tracks is equal to or slightly larger than half the diameter of the balls.
