A method for receiving audio broadcasts during a digital enhanced cordless telecommunication (DECT) frame, the method may include (a) opening, during a DECT frame and by a portable point (PP) that is a potential recipient of the audio broadcasts from a fixed part (FP), multiple reception windows that are spaced apart from each other and are allocated to receive signals related to audio broadcast; (b) receiving received signals, by the PP and during the multiple spaced apart reception windows; and (c) processing, by the PP, the received signals.

A DECT system and a method for communicating between a DECT fixed point and multiple DECT portable points. The method may include step (a) of communicating between a master communication processor of the DECT fixed point and one or more DECT portable points during master communication slots. The method may also include step (b) of communicating between a slave communication processor of the DECT fixed point and at least one of the DECT portable points during slave communication slots. Step (a) and step (b) are executed according to an allocation of master communication slots and slave communication slots, wherein the allocation facilitates concurrent slave communication processor communications and master communication processor communications.

System and method of dual network with a shared base

Cordless telephones according to the DECT standard are constantly transmitting a so-called dummy barrier at a certain power level, repetition interval and transmit frequency to apply corrections to the synchronization counters in the portable parts for synchronization to the fixed part. According to the present invention, once timing of the portable part is synchronized to the fixed part, a wired connection is used for applying these small synchronization corrections with respect to the synchronization between the portable part and the fixed part of the DECT telephone system. Advantageously, an emission of electromagnetic energy is thereby reduced significantly.
