A separation system for a fuel cell system. The separation system includes a first container with an open top to separate a liquid from a liquid-gas mixture, a second container with an open top, a measuring tube, and a flow meter. The first container includes an inlet to supply the liquid-gas mixture, a first upper outlet to discharge the gas, a second lower outlet to discharge the liquid, and a first container bottom. The second container includes an inlet, a drain with an outlet opening, and a second container bottom. The measuring tube fluidically connects the second lower outlet to the inlet into the second container. The flow meter measures a flow in the measuring tube between the first and second container geodetically below the outlet opening. The outlet opening of the drain is arranged geodetically above the first container bottom and above the second container bottom.

A device for measuring through-flow processes of fluids. The device includes an inlet, an outlet, a flow housing in which a fluid flows, a drivable displacement meter in the flow housing, a bypass line which bypasses the drivable displacement meter, a pressure difference sensor in the bypass line and in the flow housing, an evaluation and control unit which controls the drivable displacement meter based on a pressure difference existing at the pressure difference sensor, and a cooling channel in the flow housing which has a coolant flow therethrough.

Coolable device for measuring through-flow processes of fluids

A device for measuring flow processes of fluids includes an inlet, an outlet, a housing in which is arranged a drivable positive displacement flow meter which includes a positive displacement chamber in which a driven impeller is rotatably arranged, a first supply duct connecting the displacement chamber with the inlet, a first discharge duct connecting the displacement chamber with the outlet, a first inlet port, a second supply duct connected to the inlet, a displacement flow meter bypass with a differential pressure sensor, and an evaluation and control unit which controls the displacement flow meter based on a differential pressure applied to the pressure sensor. Cavitation wear of the positive displacement meter is reduced by the first supply duct opening into a front of the displacement chamber via the first inlet port, and the second supply duct opening into a rear of the displacement chamber via a second inlet port.

Bidirectionally flow-impinged device for measuring flow processes of fluids

A device for measuring flow processes of fluids. The device includes an inlet, an outlet, a drive unit, a positive displacement flow meter which is driven by the drive unit, the positive displacement flow meter including a positive displacement chamber, a supply duct which fluidically connects the positive displacement chamber to the inlet, a discharge duct which fluidically connects the positive displacement chamber to the outlet, a bypass which bypasses the positive displacement flow meter, a differential pressure sensor arranged in the bypass, and an evaluation and control unit which provides a control of the positive displacement flow meter based on a differential pressure applied to the differential pressure sensor. The supply duct and the discharge duct each rise in a fluid flow direction.

Flushable device for measuring flow processes of fluids

A system for measuring temporally resolved through-flow processes of a fluid. The system includes an inlet, a main line comprising a line section, an outlet fluidically connected with the inlet via the main line, a displacement device arranged in the main line, a circuitous line which branches off the main line between the inlet and the displacement device and to enter the main line between the displacement device and the outlet, a pressure difference transducer arranged in the circuitous line, an evaluation and control unit which controls the displacement device, and a bypass line comprising a pump and a sensor. The bypass line branches off from the main line or from the circuitous line and ends at a same side of the displacement device and the pressure difference transducer to bypass the line section or the circuitous line from which the bypass line branches off.

In a flow meter with a displacement meter () a parallel-connected pressure difference sensor () has a bypass channel () which frees a connection between the inflow side and the outflow side () when a piston () butts against a maximum stroke stop (). In the bypass channel () is a check valve () which prevents the backflow from the outflow side to the inflow side () and thus enables a return of the piston () purely due to pressure.
