The invention relates to a method for producing organopolysiloxane terminated with alkoxy groups, wherein A) organopolysiloxane terminated with HO is reacted with B) alkoxysilane having at least three alkoxy groups and/or whose partial hydrolysate is made to react in the presence of C) acid phosphoric acid ester of general formula (I): (HO) OP(&mdash;O&mdash;&lsqb;(CR ) &mdash;O&rsqb; &lsqb;(CR ) &rsqb; &mdash;L&mdash;M) , wherein a&equals;1 or 2; R and R &equals;a hydrogen, methyl or hydroxyl radical; b and d&equals;2 or 3; c&equals;integral values from 2 to 15; e&equals;0 or 1; L&equals;a radical from the group &mdash;O&mdash;, &mdash;COO&mdash;, &mdash;OOC&mdash;, &mdash;CONR &mdash;, &mdash;NR CO&mdash; and &mdash;CO&mdash;; R and R &equals;a hydrogen or a C -C -alkyl radical and M&equals;a monovalent, optionally a hydroxyl, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, C -C -alkoxylalkyl or cyano group substituted C - to C -hydrocarbon radical, provided that the radicals R and R can only be at one given time a hydroxyl radical in each hydrocarbon atom. The invention relates to organopolysiloxane compositions which are stable when stored under anhydrous conditions, but when exposed to moisture cure to an elastomer containing (a) a diorganopolysiloxane having terminal condensable groups, (b) a silicon compound having 3 amino groups bonded to silicon via nitrogen and/or oxime groups bonded to silicon via oxygen per molecule and (c) a silicon compound having at least one thiol group selected from mercapto-functional silanes or siloxanes. The presence of the mercapto-functional silanes or siloxanes substantially retards the formation of skin but does not substantially extend the cure time of the organopolysiloxanes compositions. These compositions are useful in, for example, screen printing, where a long skin-over time is desired.

A process for improving the adhesion of an organopolysiloxane elastomer to a substrate which comprises (1) coating the substrate with a copolymer containing (a) 2-hydroxypropyl acrylate and/or 2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate and (b) at least one olefinically unsaturated monomer, (2) applying a room temperature vulcanizable organopolysiloxane composition to the coated substrate and thereafter (3) curing the organopolysiloxane composition.
