A master pattern is identified in a target database for use as a template for data entry. The target database is qualified based on one or more database prerequisites. A plurality of similarity patterns is generated based on comparisons of records in the target database. These similarity patterns may be qualified and consolidated based on one or more pre-configured pattern significance guidelines to produce broad and unique patterns that may be used as master patterns. The master patterns may be recommended to the user during data entry in the target database.

Master pattern generation and utilization

A data entry template can be associated with each of a plurality of data records that are distributed across a plurality of heterogeneous or homogeneous data sources which can optionally be data bases. The data entry template can be modified to reflect a change to a business process that was previously represented by the template. The change to the business process can be propagated to at least part of the plurality of data records associated with the template. Mass change of master data via templates

Determining product marketability may be accomplished by electronically performing various calculations on related data. The marketability may be determined by a processing device receiving business characteristic terms, industry sub-segment terms and validation terms for each business characteristic term of each industry sub-segment. The processing device calculates one or more criteria terms based on the validation terms and thereupon prioritizes the business characteristic terms based on the criteria data to define at least a first cluster of business characteristic terms. The processing device thereupon calculates a coverage percentage term for each of the industry sub-segment terms based on a comparison of the validation terms for each of the business characteristic terms and the validation terms for each business characteristic term in the first cluster. The coverage percentage term usable for determining product marketability.

Method and apparatus for determining the product marketability utilizing a percent coverage

Disclosed is a method and system to receive a first value of a first attribute in a user interface and create a value pattern for a second attribute in the user interface based on the first value dynamically. A second value for the second attribute is automatically proposed from the created value pattern.
