A seal of a tool of a breaking hammer, a sealing arrangement, a breaking hammer and a method of sealing a tool of breaking hammer is provided. The seal is a sealing ring having an outer periphery provided with several projecting elements, which are slanted. The projecting elements generate torque in the sealing ring when being pushed in a transverse direction during use of the breaking hammer. Thus, the sealing ring may rotate relative to the tool.

The invention relates to a tool for a breaking hammer, a breaking hammer, and the use of a breaking hammer. The breaking hammer includes a percussion device, the percussion piston of which providing impacts to the tool for breaking rock. An impact surface of the tool has a curved form surface that has a radius of curvature and a center axis on the longitudinal axis of the tool. The direction of the centre axis is transverse to the plane through the longitudinal axis of the boom of a work machine.

Tool for breaking hammer, breaking hammer, and use thereof

The invention relates to a method for fitting a breaking device tool with a bearing, a breaking device and a tool bushing. The tool of the breaking device is fitted with a bearing with at least one bearing bushing manufactured of bearing material and arranged in a bearing space. There is a clearance fit between the bearing bushing and the bearing space, whereby the bearing bushing is insertable into the bearing space by manual force. During the use, compression stress pulses are given to the tool with a percussion device, whereby stress waves travel in the tool, which waves generate on the tool surface a movement in the direction of its perpendicular. This movement is transmitted to the bearing bushing, and it deforms the bearing bushing in the radial direction in such a way that the bearing bushing is pressed against the bearing space.

A breaking apparatus, which comprises a percussion device ( ), and in the extension thereof, a tool ( ) to which a percussion piston ( ) belonging to a percussion device delivers impacts. In the axial direction, the movement of the tool is limited by a stopper element ( ) if the movement of the tool exceeds a predetermined range of movement (B) in the direction of the impact (A). The stopper element ( ) is a piece made of elastic material, which is arranged in a space between the tool and a supporting surface ( ). During the stopping of the tool, the capacity of the space for the stopper element reduces, whereby the element is subjected to pressing. By the effect of the tool movement, the stopper element thus rotates about its cross-sectional central axis ( ) and at the same time changes its cross-sectional shape in the reducing space. The invention further relates to a tool used in the above-described breaking apparatus.

Breaking apparatus and tool

A hydraulic actuator includes three cylinder spaces: a first cylinder space (6) located between a ring piston and a cylinder; a second cylinder space (7) between the ring piston and an auxiliary piston inside a hollow piston rod connected to the ring piston; and the third cylinder space (8) formed between the ring piston, the cylinder and the hollow piston rod. The hydraulic actuator includes a non-return valve (11) mounted in the ring piston between the second cylinder space and the third cylinder space, allowing flow from the second cylinder space into the third cylinder space when pressure in the second cylinder space exceeds pressure in the third cylinder space; a non-return valve (10) mounted in the ring piston between the second cylinder space and the first cylinder space, allowing flow from the second cylinder space into the first cylinder space when pressure in the second cylinder space exceeds pressure in the first cylinder space; and a pressure limit valve (14) for controlling fluid flow into the cylinder spaces depending on pressure in the first channel when the actuator is lengthened.
