Gamma-diketones for treatment and prevention of aging skin and wrinkles

The present disclosure relates to compounds, cosmetic or dermopharmaceutical compositions comprising the same, and methods for using the compounds or compositions for treating, protecting, and/or improving the condition and/or aesthetic appearance of skin, for example, treating, preventing, ameliorating, reducing and/or eliminating fine lines and/or wrinkles of skin, or improving the appearance of fine lines and/or or wrinkles of skin comprising application of the compounds or compositions disclosed.

The present disclosure relates to compounds, cosmetic or dermopharmaceutical compositions comprising the same, and methods for using the compounds or compositions for treating, protecting, and/or improving the condition and/or aesthetic appearance of skin, for example, treating, preventing, ameliorating, reducing and/or eliminating fine lines and/or wrinkles of skin, or improving the appearance of fine lines and/or or wrinkles of skin comprising application of the compounds or compositions disclosed. In some embodiments, the compounds useful in the methods described herein include compounds of Formula I: or a dermatologically acceptable salt thereof.

Among other things, for use in directional motion of chiral objects in a mixture, a field is applied across the chamber and is rotating relative to the chamber to cause rotation of the chiral objects. The rotation of the objects causes them to move directionally based on their chirality. The method applies to sugars, proteins, and peptides, among other things, and can be used in a wide variety of applications.

Separation and manipulation of a chiral object

Among other things, to cause directional motion of chiral objects in a mixture in a chamber, a field is rotated relative to a chamber to cause rotation of the chiral objects. The rotation of the objects caused them to move directionally based on their chirality.

High performance microlens arrays are fabricated by (i) depositing liquid on the hydrophilic domains of substrates of patterned wettability by either (a) condensing liquid on the domains or (b) withdrawing the substrate from a liquid solution and (ii) optionally curing the liquid to form solid microlenses. The f-number (f) of formed microlenses is controlled by adjusting liquid viscosity, surface tension, density, and index of refraction, as well as the surface free energies of the hydrophobic and hydrophilic areas. The f-number of formed microlenses is also adjustable by controlling substrate dipping angle and withdrawal speed, the array fill factor and the number of dip coats used. At an optimum withdrawal speed fis minimized and array uniformity is maximized. At this optimum, arrays of f/3.48 microlenses were fabricated using one dip-coat with uniformity better than &#x394;f/f&#x2dc;&#xb1;3.8% while multiple dip-coats permit production of f/1.38 microlens arrays and uniformity better than &#x394;f/f&#x2dc;&#xb1;5.9%. Average fs are reproducible to within 3.5%. The method is adaptable and extendible to precision parallel fabrication of (i) microlenses precisely sized, aligned and spatially positioned to various small light sources and optical fiber ends, (ii) conductive bump bonds on substrate pads, and (iii) conductive bonds between corresponding domains on separate perpendicular substrates, all of which are self-aligned.

Precise fabrication of polymer microlens arrays

A four-to-one multiplexer circuit constructed purely in CMOS technology and fabricated using only pass-gates and inverters. The resulting multiplexer is simpler to fabricate and operates faster than known similarly fabricated and constructed CMOS multiplexers.

High-speed CMOS multiplexer

A high voltage integrated driver circuit having a control stage and a driver stage. The control stage receives a low voltage signal having a predetermined voltage swing, and produces first and second stepped-up output signals having the predetermined voltage swing. A driver stage having an upper section and a lower section is connected to the control stage such that the upper section receives the first stepped-up output signal and the second section receives the second stepped-up output signal. Each driver section outputs, from a respective output terminal, and output voltage signal such that the voltage range across the output terminals is larger than the predetermined voltage swing of the low voltage signal.
