A method may include determining, an event which triggers a power headroom report to report a headroom between a current user equipment transmission power and a nominal power. The determination may depend at least partially on a configuration of frequency domain spectrum shaping. The method may also include generating a power headroom report based on the event. The method may further include transmitting the power headroom report to a network element.
